Oaktree is such a loving place. The staff is amazing and the care they give is top notch. The kitchen is so clean and they care enough to give many options "off the menu" to accommodate. I have eaten there many times with my mom and I think the food is great and the whole building is clean

Oaktree is such a loving place. The staff is amazing and the care they give is top notch. The kitchen is so clean and they care enough to give many options "off the menu" to accommodate. I have eaten there many times with my mom and I think the food is great and the whole building is clean and has extremely kind caring staff. I love visiting and walking around this facility. Highly recommended.

Horrible food
I would never recommend this place. The food is horrible, often times inedible. They don’t have a proper cook nor do they intend to hire one. We complained about the unsuitable meals for 2 years to the director, the nutritionist and the owner and nothing was ever done. They don’t offer anything that resembles a nutritionally balanced meal. Rarely offer fruit or vegetables to residents. Many of the residents are afraid to speak up. Do not send your loved ones to this place.

Food is horrible
I agree 100% with previous review. The food here is horrible and sometimes inedible. They do not follow nutritional guidelines. Very seldom offered fruit. I would not recommend this facility. Many complaints but no changes.

Nice facility except for the food!
The food provided is a HUGE issue! The quality is poor and sometimes is just inedible. This has been and ongoing problem that they say their addressing but we have seen no improvement! The facility is nice and they have updated the rooms as they become available. As with all assisted living facilities there is a lot of staff turnover.

Sales Director was not prepared. Appeared surprised When I showed for my appointment. He handed me a brochure and said to call if I had questions. I asked if I could have a tour. I loved the appearance of this community. Large. Spacious. Rooms were roomy and attractive. Overall I was there 15 minutes. So will administrators be attentive if Dad moves in???

I was very satisfied with what I saw.
I toured here when I was looking for options. I was very satisfied with what I saw. It looked pretty good, and I liked the proximity to where I live. It would be easy to go and visit, and stay connected.

Tips for evaluating your community options

Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Assisted Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:

  • Tour the location: Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.

  • Confirm the availability of required services: Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.

  • Know the Texas regulations for Assisted Living: Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you’re considering. Learn more about Texas regulations for Assisted Living.

A Place for Mom has scored Oak Tree Assisted Living 6.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
