As for value, repairs/maintenance are done very well however, the appliances are very basic, loud and don't work all that well (dishwasher). All of the units are painted yellow, including the ceilings which make it very dark and cave-like. I like it here, the residents are very nice. But I feel that for what I am paying each month, I would expect better quality in the amenities. There is no food service at all. The common room is spacious and has a small kitchen for anyone to use for private parties. There is even a small apartment set aside for overnight guests. I would recommend Parkwood Highlands for an Independent Senior.
