<p>This vibrant community offers many activities — like exercise and bridge classes — and groups, including walking club, gardening club, and chess club. You’ll also enjoy intergenerational programs, volunteer opportunities, happy hours, and ice cream socials. Bible studies and on-site devotional services are available, too. Entertainment includes guest lecturers, speakers, music, and dance. Excursions include live performances, sporting events, horse races at Del-Mar Race Track, wineries, casinos, and even week-long cruises along the California coast!</p>
<p>All residents enjoy three delicious meals every day, and the staff will take care of all your housekeeping needs, including linen service. Associates can help you schedule doctor appointments and provide daily transportation as well. The community offers on-site security, and the reception desk is staffed around the clock. A 24-hour emergency response system is available to all residents.</p>
<p>Caregivers can help assisted living residents with personal care, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, medication management, ambulation and transfers, incontinence care, and diabetes care if needed. Should the need arise, the community offers hospice care and will keep you comfortable during this time.</p>
<p>Memory Care Suites is a separate building on campus with a neighborhood design. Each neighborhood suite has a great room at the center. There’s plenty of natural light, and distinct colors throughout the building help your loved one orient themselves. Activities are designed to stimulate your loved one’s cognitive abilities, including reminiscence, music, art, physical, and occupational therapies. The staff includes licensed vocational nurse supervisors and professional caregivers.</p>
<h3>Living Arrangements</h3>
<p>Silvergate Retirement Residence offers studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments. All units offer a kitchenette with space for a full sized or mini-fridge. Walk-in closets are available in some layouts. All bathrooms include grab bars for your safety, and some even have roll-in showers available. Each apartment features an emergency alert system should you need urgent assistance. Memory care residents have access to private rooms in the Memory Care Suites.</p>
