I love living here at The Landing. The management is great. All the people living here are friendly and happy. Although the rent is high for me, it’s worth the sacrifices for me to enjoy my life. Things are always kept clean and it smells very nice. The food is delicious. The staff is very helpful and sweet. I’m thankful I found a safe place to enjoy my life.

I love living here at The Landing. The management is great. All the people living here are friendly and happy. Although the rent is high for me, it’s worth the sacrifices for me to enjoy my life. The people who were working there at the time were really good to my uncle. If they couldn't afford a better place I would recommend it to other families, it's a good place for the price point. [name removed] loved the place and felt fortunate to be there. When there was nothing available anywhere in Ca in his price point, the Landing saved the day. The price was right and the people were fantastic. I highly recommend the Landing at Carmichael the people who worked there truly cared about [name removed]

Highly Recommended
My dad was previously a resident at The Landing at Carmichael and everything was great. The staff was amazing. The housekeeping seemed great. The only complaint that my dad had was about the food, that there wasn't enough food. But that could just be him. I would highly recommend this facility to others.

Staff is amazing. The director keeps in touch with me about how my mom is doing. It's like a family member is keeping me updated. And literally everyone there is amazing and very caring
Studio is a little small. Amenities are good and there are tons of activities.

I would say it's not bad except The food and availability of food is extremely poor. It is an old place but staff seems responsive except for one lady at the front desk who is crass and unbending often.

I picked this place due to quick availability.Pros:Very friendly, fast and easy sign up/ availability, has events, residents are like friends and has a sense of community, has meal services, has transportation.
Cons: Rooms are very small and it's an issue for people in wheel chairs. Not enough room for a twin bed AND recliner chair. Have to choose. Meal options are not diabetic friendly. transportation does function as advertised. They go to certain places on certain days and if you don't sign up the slots get full easily. You have to get individual internet for each room and the community internet is spotty.

Life at The Landing
The move in process was very smooth and welcoming. There is good communication between family and staff. The meals are good. I would recommend The Landing at Carmichael to others. I do have one suggestion. Have rides available, other than once a week, to the local doctors. It is my understanding that the bus is available only one day a week.

Greatly Improved Quality of Life
The staff are great - really there for you and caring. The food is quite good, and dining is like a real restaurant. Other residents are friendly and it feels like a community. I wish they had more fitness activities, but there are a lot of activities that are fun and involve ice cream, everyone loves loves ice cream. Overall I really like living here, and it has greatly improved my quality of life.

I would say it's a very good value, and the staff is exceptional. I do have an issue with the breakfast though, because those have changed and it seems like there's not really a breakfast being served.

For what we are receiving they are a little overpriced. Staff are friendly pay attention to your billing. Make sure number one it's your invoice and that you are being charged accordingly.

Overall, this community is very good. The residents are very friendly. My sister has made a lot of friends here. The staff is ok, not overly helpful. They do housekeeping once a week and do a good job. The food is excellent, good quality and variety. My sister actually loves it! One issue we've had is timely repairs. Her microwave has been broken for a month and we're still waiting for them to fix or replace it. Also, their transportation van does not have a wheelchair lift, so we have to use outside options for her transportation. I would recommend them to friends and family, especially on a budget. It's a great economical choice.

Tour experience
The Landing at Carmichael gave a very nice tour. The facility itself is older and it was smaller with less residents which meant less people to interact and socialize with. I was looking for a bigger place that would have more going on, but it all depends on what you like and want. They said they had gourmet food but I was not able to try a meal. It is right next to Carmichael Park and in a busy area next to a lot of shopping, so the location is ideal if you like to do that.

Horrible!!!
This place is awful!!! I have waited over an hour for them to check on my mom who is elderly, her phone says it's unreachable, and I haven't spoken to her for 2 days. [name removed] at the front desk, has a real attitude! He said he" is not going to leave the front desk". The fact is, my mom never gets her room cleaned, and her trash bags pile up. It's outrageous! This place costs a ridiculously high amount! She has waited 4 months in hopes that the maintenance man will change her light bulb. They don't even want to change people's blinds that are falling apart they charge extra $10 a night for dinner on top of their already outrageous prices. They are rude [name removed] [name removed], [name removed], and the other [name removed] are all very rude! They don't care about the well-being of the residents or if they're okay or not. They harass residents and their families. The residents we have talked to aren't happy at all and are leaving or want to leave. I hope you get the picture of how caring this place really is.

I lived there when it was Sagebrook. They changed hands and raised my rent from $900 a month to $1,500 a month which necessitated my moving. To top it off they told me to go ahead and pay the full last month's rent even though I only owed half of it and then would never refund the prorated amount as promised. To this day I still have not received my refund which amounts to approximately $200. I cannot afford that kind of loss.

Why I Love The Landing at Carmichael
The Landing has great food. It's very well cooked and that makes a difference if it is cooked properly. I really like the salads and the homemade soups. The vegetables are very well cooked and flavorful. There is a very good balance in the food served. I was underweight when I got here one month ago. I weighed 150 lbs and now I am at 162 lbs. I am 6 feet tall. I sleep well here, unlike the place I was at before. So far everyone that works here is very pleasant and they know there jobs very well. And I mean that! The housekeeper, Brandi, works her tail off. She makes my apartment sparkle. I have not gotten too involved in the activities but they are great! The general atmosphere is pleasant and that is why I am staying here. The attitude of the staff very good. Everyone here is pretty happy.
