A lovely, embracing community for our family member
We really are impressed and are so happy that he is happy. For my brother in law, I can rank all of the above at a 5. He says that he hopes he dies there! It's a lovely community. The rates increase on his apartment . Our only worry is that he won't be able to afford it any more because he loves it so much..... and he's on the edge of not being able to increase the amount of money that he can spend on his apartment.

The Rio Grande is located near community amenities including grocery stores, banks, restaurants, pharmacies, and more.
Staff is available 24 hours a day to provide assistance with daily living activities. Other services include chef-prepared meals, medication reminders, housekeeping, and more.

Clean property
Aside from the senior managers having issues the rest of the staff is generally good. Assistant managers are great, kitchen and cleaning staff is very nice. 5 stars there. Cleanliness is great, maintenance is good, 5 stars there. Nice property.

Great place to live.
Managers are always available and more than willing to help with whatever one needs. Staff members are friendly and very efficient. Many residents are very friendly and willing to help new residents get acclimated. Many activities are available.

The staff are kind, available and very helpful. Housekeeping is very good and thorough. Meals are fabulous and alternative meals are always available. Many activities to keep your loved one involved as much or as little as they would like. Staff is very welcoming to family and encourages visiting! This is a great place for Mom!

a great place for loved ones
Our loved one absolutely loves being at The Rio Grande community, and the location for us was great which was a key factor in making a decision for our loved one. Our family is able to come and go as we please and eat some meals with our loved one which are excellent. They are very welcoming and encouraging to bring families in for meal time. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

It's Your Home
The residents and staff are very nice and go out of their way to make you feel like part of a family. The staff are good to work with the family if we have any questions or concerns about loved one.
The food is good. They are willing to accommodate the resident's needs if the food needs to be delivered.
The apartment, changing of linens, laundry, housekeeping, utilities, and all the meals are included in the monthly fee. You are able to pay extra for an outside agency to come in and help your loved one in the community.

If you can afford it, this is a great community. they always have someone checking up on the residence and this would a great place for your loved one to meet others that have similar interests. I would recommend this community to others and already have.

I moved out here in June my wife died in March and I want ed to get away from Kansas City Missouri. I think this is a wonderful place I have a beautiful view of the mountains and the park above it is just a wonderful place to live.

Very pleasant visit. Friendly staff, well-maintained environment. Studio is small, but balcony and large windows made it comfortable. Common areas are attractive and usable, and they expand the living space.

A welcoming experience.
The staff at the Rio Grande were most helpful and welcoming. From our first visit and tour of the community, to my mother's move in a month later, our family was supported. At one point, my mom changed her mind about moving (last minute jitters), and David encouraged her to come back for some additional visits. As a result, mom will be moving into her new apartment at the Rio Grande on January 15th. We have a large family, and my mom has insisted on taking everyone for a tour before she moved. The staff at the Rio Grande have been most gracious about providing tours and delicious sample meals. The Rio Grande feels like a real community where people care about keeping your loved one safe and happy.

Mom is thrilled
Mom loves The Rio Grande. It is beautiful. Mom is thrilled. The staff are great there. It is the newest facility that we looked at. There are two managers there that are so sweet. She did come from a larger facility where there were a lot of staff. Like when I come with some heavy things and I need help there aren't as many staff helping. But really that's not a complaint and something I am sure I can talk to them about and resolve. Mom says that all the residents seem happy there. The staff really try with the activities. Mom is super healthy in how she eats and the staff really worked with her needs regarding that. It has gone beyond our expectations. I am so happy with this facility. It is a perfect fit for her here.

I Enjoyed My Stay
I enjoyed my stay there at The Rio Grande and the reason I left was because my daughter was in California and I really needed to be near her. But the people were friendly and the managers were great.

Great management and staff.
This place is wonderful! My mom wasn't feeling well when she moved here, but the staff has made sure she was given care and attention to make her comfortable. I would recommend this place to everyone!
The managers have been great keeping me informed when mom had to make a trip to the hospital. They go beyond great customer service here.
