<p>Our goal is to provide residents with a supportive environment and the services they need to live a comfortable, fulfilling life. Our staff members are available around the clock to assist with medication management, incontinence care, and activities of daily living (e.g., dressing, bathing, grooming, and more), among other services. We have nurses, therapists, and associates on site that coordinate care plans designed to maximize your independence and comfort. For residents in need of more advanced services, we coordinate routine visits with other local health care professionals.</p>
<p>We encourage engagement in social and physical activities that align with each resident’s unique interests to help them build a fulfilling lifestyle. You’ll often find residents getting some fresh air in our secured outdoor common areas or curled up by the fire with a good book in our beautiful, sunny library. We have a movie theater where residents can enjoy a classic film with friends, plus a beauty salon and barber shop where you can get pampered. As a pet-friendly community, we encourage memory care residents to take advantage of our pet-focused programs while bonding with neighbors and friends.</p>
<p>Our culinary team prepares three delicious meals daily, served restaurant style in our spacious, comfortable dining room. Room service is available upon requests, and guests are always welcome to join! <h3>Living Arrangements</h3>
<p>Cozy studio, one-, and two-bedroom apartments are available here at Waterview. Darling kitchenettes, plush carpeting, and open-concept floor plans give each unit a distinctly homelike feeling from the moment you walk through the door. Large windows let in a healthy dose of sunshine, giving the warm, neutral-colored walls an inviting glow. Whichever floor plan you choose, we’re sure you’ll settle in comfortably at Waterview!</p>
<h3>State Classification</h3>
<p>Waterview The Cove provides both <em>Type A </em>and <em>Type B assisted living</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h4>Assisted Living Facility</h4>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p></p><dl><dt>Type A:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.</dd><br>
<dt>Type B:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.</dd><br>
<dt>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</dt><dd>Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</dd></dl><p></p>
