Hi, I recently had to relocate my mom to an assisted living facility and after much research we decided on Holland Farms. This is a beautiful building and the staff at the front desk were so welcoming right when we walked in. My mom has been here for a while now and she’s made friends and loves the activities that are fun and keep her busy. I couldn’t be more pleased with our decision to move her here. My mom is so important to me and I feel safe knowing she’s in a good place with caring people to look after her when I’m not around. Thank you so much Holland Farms.

This was the second place we took Dad to. He needed memory care. The staff knew how to handle his dementia. The staff was very friendly to their clients and visitors. We were always kept aware of both Dad's and Moms needs.

They told us: “make the Apartment your own home”. We were encouraged to Decorate as we would our own home hanging w/ nails, stick-on mirrors etc. Thus, we were at ease as we new filled her new apt with items from her former home of 35 yrs and beautiful new decor. So her new place became her new HOME! It was reinforced with the Support from various staff members from housekeeping to Dining. Everyone exhibited genuine caring

My Mother-in-law and Father-in-law lived at Holland Farms for over a year until they needed higher level of care than what they offer. my Mother-in-law loved the activities- her favorites were UNO and the happy hours hosted at the building. She loved to socialize, and would often play cards at the front desk with [name removed], the front desk administrator. My Father-in-Law was quiet and enjoyed time in his room. They both enjoyed the food- especially at breakfast! It was their favorite meal they enjoyed. They both always thought the staff were caring and patient. They both enjoyed living at Holland Farms!

I'm so grateful I found CountryHouse Folsom for my Mama, and for [name removed] help from A Place for Mom! I found one other place that felt & looked comparable but it was more expensive & primarily assisted living. I love that CountryHouse is dedicated memory care & feel it has made a huge difference in my Mom's care. She has dementia but is physically able still & this facility feels much more like a home than a clinical facility, the feeling we got from other sites we visited. They do have activities each day but I wish there was a bit more options for the more physically independent like my Mom. I also realize it's a challenging environment to cater to everyone's daily needs & desires so I they do a really good job. My Mom raves about how kind the staff are & the place is always very clean every time I'm there. The pricing is tough for anyone new to this space & I was really shocked by the "community fee" required up front. I was able to negotiate that down a bit with CountryHouse which made a huge difference for my family! They also offer an "all inclusive" pricing option if your family member is at care level 1 or 2 which my Mom is. This means we pay a bit higher price for her care plan but we have locked in that price for her entire stay there. If her condition worsens or she has another medical event requiring higher level of care, our cost doesn't increase. This allowed us to budget better for the long term. While not all families are as engaged as I am, I do wish there was a bit more communication with me on the medical side of things (following up after a doctor visit, checking on her medications, hearing about any new symptoms, etc.). But when it comes to managing the care for 45 or so residents, I believe they do a great job. The food is really good & there's only been a few times my Mom was given something she didn't like or couldn't chew (she doesn't have all her teeth). Overall, CountryHouse has been a Godsend to my family! To be fair, my Mom's long term care policy is the true blessing, as we would not have been able to afford this level of care without it, and I am so grateful for it & for the wonderful staff at CountryHouse.

My mom seems to be thriving there, now my anxiety lies in the fact that I think she won’t want to come home! I would recommend this place with 100 stars their personalized care. 200 characters huh? The grounds are well-maintained and the cleanliness is way above my expectations. I appreciate the personal care and communication I receive from our coordinator. The staff at the main desk is always pleasant and accommodating, I get the feeling that everybody enjoys working there. Although the cost was out of my personal price range, it was well worth it to know that my mom was receiving care and I feel like the staff and everyone involved really cared about her

The staff is so friendly and kind. They know every resident and call them by name. The food is DELICIOUS and varied. My parents at the age of 88 have a more lively social life than I do! There is always something interesting to do each day, from musical performances to outings. There is a physical therapist that comes to the facility and helps my father with mobility issues. There is transportation to doctor appointments, if needed. This facility does not charge for every single thing like other places do. Highly recommend!!!

The director, [name removed], is great and so are the nurses and the activity director. The younger people who work there are decent, but they are young and not sure they really know how to converse with older people. Dad enjoyed being teased by staff at [facility name removed] and I really haven't witnessed that at Holland. They are polite. I think its a matter of experience. I really like Holland Farm...if I ever need to end up somewhere. I would choose it.

We were looking for a space where my Grandma would be able to maintain her feeling of independence while being able to make friends her own age. She lost her best friend last summer, and she has been struggling with the adjustment. We wanted to see her make connections and friendships again. Holland Farms from the first time we came into the building, was warm. The receptionist was kind and helped to break the ice and relieve some of her nerves. The girls we met with did a fantastic job listening and answering her questions. They took time to find out about her as a person. The community is beautiful and they have so much happening in activities that she has been keeping busy! She doesn’t need a ton of care right now, but I know that when she does, she will be well taken care of! Staff is polite and always greets us when we come in to visit! I am glad Grandma made the move, and we can not recommend Holland Farms enough!

Holland Farms has been a positive experience for us as my Mom fell and broke her hip and with her limited vision, it was clear that she now would require low leveled Assisted Living, which we have found here at Holland Farms. The staff has empathy and compassion as our Mom began the move in process. Things were much different for her as she transitioned from Independent to an Assisted living. They were there to help us with all of this! From the first visit to today, staff are caring and friendly. It's bright and cheerful and residents have many activities to participate in. This now is our Mom's new "Home". It is safe, clean, and comfortable for her and for us!

Moving to The Terraces was the best decision I could ever make for my dad with his Alzheimer's disease. The staff are kind, empathetic, caring, attentive, responsive, helpful, thoughtful, actively involved daily with the residence, supportive, and innovative in their approach to daily activities and living with memory care issues. Elizabeth runs their daily activities and she has gotten my dad from gazing mindlessly in a chair all day, to dancing, tapping his fingers and feet while listening to music, he's now participating in table-top activities, he's engaged, alive, and has made a complete 180 degree positive change in alllllll his behavior and interactions. Their targeted programs really bring out the best in each resident, and it brings great comfort to the families knowing that they are truly in a hands of individuals who are experts in dealing with memory care issues. The doctor was going to increase my dad's medication because of behavioral issues at his prior memory care comm

My wife suffers from alzheimer's disease and after many months of being her caretaker my health was beginning to decline. I investigated several memory care facilities and finally found the perfect place for her -- Serra Sol in San Juan Capistrano. The staff is very well trained both for compassionate care as well as the proper psychology needed to care for those with dementia. My wife found it difficult to adjust leaving home, but the experienced staff worked with her and now she is very happy living there. Great food, great staff, and a very pleasant facility!
