Would recommend the facility upon close inspection.

I spoke with the director regarding the intercom system for the patients to communicate with the office, which is not working all the time. They say they are currently repairing it. One other problem is the front door to my person's room is so far away that he has trouble getting groceries to his room. He also says the food is awful.

I would recommend

When we were looking for places I wanted a nice place for my wife to stay that had a good value for the money and we found that here. They seem to be taking great care of her and all of the staff member are very friendly and always smiling. I noticed if anything happens they always call me right away and great at keeping me informed. When I go to visit I have the food sometimes and it is hit or miss. Overall I would recommend them to others looking.

We Feel Comfortable with My Mother's Care at St. Mary's

For the price point, they are exceeding our expectations, and getting our money's worth. For us it works well here. The staff have my loved one dressed and up each time I go and visit them. They are doing well on the food for our loved one.

Our experience with St. Mary Villa

WE chose this facility because the transition from personal care to killed facility would be seamless. They are able to handle all phases of illness. They do offer private rooms and that is what she has. The only concern I have had is just that there is another resident here who seems to be monopolizing my mothers time but I am going to talk with them about it. I would recommend the facility to others who are looking. Overall the care is good and the staff are responsive and address issues.

Give the Villas

It's a great place, especially if you are of the Catholic faith. The staff and residents are wonderful and very nice. The food has been a struggle, as the community needed to redo their dining room right before the pandemic.

Caring and loving staff

We chose this community because of the hospice care agreement, if you run out of money you will not get kicked out. My dad has nothing bad to say about the food there. The rooms are very spacious and nicely laid out. The staff is loving and caring. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking.

St. Mary Villa

Depending on what area of the community you are in, it can get pretty hot and stuffy in the memory care area. The bathrooms and floors are usually clean. The staff is very friendly and attentive to the needs of the residents. We don't think they have enough for the residents in the memory care area to do. The only thing they have in the way of activities are magazines and coloring supplies. We do feel St. Mary Villa is a good value for the price. They do offer religious services and a chapel on site and the assisted living residents are able to use it as they wish and memory care residents can use it as requested with the accompaniment of a staff member.

Nice Community!!

My loved one seems to be really enjoying the community, there is lots of activities and different field trips throughout the week to help keep her busy and help enjoy the company of the other residents. I am overall very pleased with the care my mom has been receiving and have no complaints.

This is a nice community!

The staff were very nice during our tour of St. Martha Villa. The community did not seem as nice as the one we chose. It was an older building and it did not offer the same things as the other one.

Not the best experience

We have not been very pleased with the facility. I would tell others looking into St. Mary Villa to ask a lot of questions and visit the facility at different times and on different days to get a better idea of what goes on daily.

St Mary's Villa needs improvement

This is a nice community but they are having some staffing issues. My loved one did not receive the proper care due to the staffing issues that they are having. The staff were not very engaged and were from temp agencies. I would not recommend if you don't plan on checking on them daily. I do not think you should have to check on them daily when you put them in the care of the community.

Looking for a place to call home!

The community was okay. There was just something about the community that did not feel like home. The community felt like a nursing home and also smelled like one, no where that I want to send my loved one. I viewed the rooms and all they had were a bathroom and bed. Not what I want my loved one in.

Family Response to St. Martha's

St. Martha's struggles with staffing shortages, hiring and delivery of services from an overworked staff. It is impossible for family to get information on their loved ones as phone message boxes are full. St Martha's fails to communicate to family members by newsletter or will simply send an e-mail when a virus emerges. Dining can be another obstacle as many times they do not have enough wait staff to serve or they do not show up. Food shortages can occur and maybe poorly made. Transportation while advertised rarely exists for shopping or medical appointments.

Definitely needs improvement

They are a little lax on the cleanliness of the facility as well as the care. In my opinion, the staff do not give the residents the attention that they need. My experience is with the memory care unit though, so I am not sure what the rest of the facility is like. I think the unit definitely needs some improvements.

Scary

I wouldn't recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff wasn't on top of the care that my friend needed. There are no food choices on a menu, it is what is available. Our experience was they weren't able to accommodate special dietary restrictions for our friend.

Concerned - please read before your loved one moves in!

This facility is not affiliated with the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The quality of the food is poor. My mother's heat and a/c never functioned properly. Frequently fire alarms going off in the middle of the night. Some staff members are amazing and kind; others are mean and rude. Turnover is very high as noted by the many job signs out front. Covid precaution protocols are not enforced. Information that is given to residents and their families regarding Covid at the facility is inaccurate. For instance, my mom personally requested a Covid test on [date removed] because she was feeling poorly. The result came back positive. She continued to decline. I requested that the facility send an ambulance to take her to the hospital on [date removed]. The weekly newsletter that came out on [date removed] stated that one staff member and one resident had tested positive and that both were asymptomatic and recovering in place. Totally inaccurate. My mother died on [date removed].
