I used HomeWell of Oakland County for my mother-in-law and was very pleased with their professionalism and very caring attitude toward my mother-in-law and her needs. I would recommend them for your loved one.

We developed a relationship with one individual. She knows us now and is extremely helpful. Due to expense she only comes 1 time a week for 4 hours. She is excellent but in home care is quite pricey. I would recommend Homewell Care services to others.

Currently we have found one employee who is with Homewell Care that is great and works Monday thru Friday giving great care and stability.

I would recommend them to others. The sales rep lady was very very helpful in coordinating things and adjusting things for me. I had to adjust a lot, so it was hard to get a regular caretaker. I did not like the part of having four hours minimum every day cause some days I only needed a couple of hours. So, more flexibility would've been nice. But I had my back messed up and really couldn't get around much, so they helped basically clean the house and kitchen and help me fix my bed and change my sheets. Because I could not lift anything or barely move. They even walked my dogs for me, which was helpful.

As far as I know, my mother is doing very well since receiving care from Howell. The caregivers show up on time and on the days that they say they will. It has been a pretty good experience for her, she is getting the help she needs.

I did not think the staff was very well trained. I stopped using them because of this reason. I would not recommend using them.

The first aide just never showed up. The second aide, who became her regular aide, called in sick more than what I would consider reasonable. When she did, the company would call and ask if I wanted them to find a replacement. I said I did, and then no one would come and the company would never call to let me know that they could not find anyone (if they actually tried). I had to call and complain more than once that the aide did not give my loved one a shower in the 4 hours that she was there. The aide would do a great job with helping to clean apartment, but after 2 - 3 hours there was not much left to do so I would pay her to sit on her phone for the remainder. She could have been taking her for a walk, play a game of cards or something more productive for her pay. I do not think that I would recommend them to others.

I talk to the owner today and she was very rude and condescending to me. I asked about what car they get a ride from my mom and she said we can’t help you at this time. Go somewhere else. Stay away from this company .
