Lutheran Life Communities

Luther Oaks has been a beautiful and welcoming community. Compared to other life care communities, it seems very reasonable in cost. My mom is in independent living but the other levels of care seem to be consistent. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families- a great place!

Our only concern is that work orders for maintenance are not being handled quickly. For example, the hand-held shower nozzle was plugged, and we eventually replaced it ourselves. The temperature in the room is too warm and can not be adjusted lower in the autumn, which is a shoulder period between summer and winter. Not sure if there is anything to be done about the temperature when it changes between needing heat and A/C. The thermostat does not have the ability to change between heating and cooling. But mostly positive.

What we really like about the Lutheran Home, is that it allowed our parents to stay in the same physical neighborhood they lived in for 40+ years and provided the ability to escalate care as their needs changed.

We have been very pleased so far with Luther Oaks, they have made the experience for our loved one and family very positive. From the transition and up until now they have been very personalized and made everything pretty easy. Overall it has been a solid 5 star experience and the other residents living there are very caring and so friendly. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families.

Although Wittenberg Village has experienced some recent changes, the community is a perfect fit for my mom and the other residents. The activities keep her busy, and she really enjoys all of the extra outings. Having her housekeeping and meals provided, she is now able to relax and enjoy her days. Moving to Wittenberg has saved my mom in so many ways!

I moved in and liked it so much I bought a second apartment for my mother! The staff is the most caring I have ever encountered and the facility is top-notch. Hope to meet you soon.

We came to Wittenberg less than a year ago. It took awhile to adjust, but we never looked back. The staff is outstanding and the accommodations are beautiful. We feel at home.

Wonderful place to live. Caring and skilled staff. From waitresses, housekeepers, maintenance, to office. Many social opportunities. Dining room is first class with multiple options for entrees, etc.

I moved into Wittenberg during Covid and [name removed] and the staff have done everything possible to make my move as easy as possible. They made sure I was able to keep in touch with my family on the Internet. This place is very friendly and safe, and has a family-like atmosphere. Everybody seems to know everybody by name, both residents and staff. They really care about each other and are friendly and inclusive. [name removed] made me feel like family. She goes above and beyond, always keeping in touch with me and always willing to help with anything that I need. All of the staff that I have met so far, like [name removed] , have been very friendly and helpful to me. I've noticed when they're walking around, if they notice somebody needs help with something, they immediately go to help or get someone to help with whatever they need. The food is very good here. There's a nice dining hall and outdoor patio area and the food service staff is very nice and accommodating to my food requests. I like that Wittenberg has continuing care options to move into if I need it in the future. It's nice to know I would be in the same community with friends around that I could still visit with. I'm glad I made this move to Wittenberg and look forward to many years of fun activities and socializing with the staff and the other residents and their families.

The Luther Oaks is a very nice and clean community, right when you walk in you just notice how clean and fresh it smells. The staff members have been very friendly so far. Our loved one really seems to be enjoying the meals and dining service and the activities are good. Based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to others

The tour at this community was nice but there was another community that stood out more for the value and just the type of environment that I was looking for for my loved one. They gave me all of the info I needed and I was able to see everything that I needed to see.
