So far so good. I love the fact that my loved one has a private room. I love the fact that we can come and go whenever we want to visit. We can hang out there and we even had his birthday party there, which was nice. There's lots of widows and lots of light. The other residents are friendly and nice, and he seems to fit in well with them. And the care he's receiving has been good.

The dad was given compassionate care for 1 and a half years. He lived in this community. His disease process progressed and more care was needed. The staff adjusted and saw to his needs. The setting was home-like as possible.

Most of the people we've worked with have been extremely friendly. They seem like they really do care and they do their best. They do good work in a tough situation. They call often, even for minor incidents. They keep me informed, and I appreciate that notification. I think that their communal model is a good idea for residents with dementia so that they're not just isolated in their rooms. There are places we looked at that are a lot more expensive, but I think you get a lot for the money at Parkcliffe. Other places that were thousands more offered very similar things. It really is a great value. Keep in mind with memory care, unless you're wealthy, the fancy finishes are not nearly as important as the care they're providing. Parkcliffe may not be a Cadillac - it's not brand new, but the frills are more for the family than the resident in a memory care facility. One thing I really appreciate is their balance in trying to provide an opportunity to visit with your loved one as well as protect the health of everyone in the community during Covid. That's not an easy thing.

[name removed] and the Staff are super! [name removed] took a lot of time to talk to me and give me the overall run down. She even gave me questions to always ask and look for in my Mom's care. Thank you so much. [name removed]

My father in law is doing very well here he is very content and seems happy. He tends to a little bored due to there not being many residents in his phase of the community but he has taken the complimentary bus service to take him out shopping. The staff is very nice and friendly. He says he likes the food. So far based on what we have experienced, we would recommend them.

This is a lovely community, and they have done a great job of accommodating my family, and our needs. This is a good facility with kind people. The staff have been great to work with. They have been kind, and helpful. I'am comfortable with the care my father is receiving at this facility. They specialize in memory care. When I expressed to them what I can, and can not do. They were very willing to work with us to figure out what will work best for my parents, and their needs. Overall all is well, and I would recommend this community.

Our family had an in person tour and while they gave off the impression they give outstanding care, the community itself was unattractive to us. We knew right away this would probably not be the place for our loved one.

The community was nice but it had stairs and that would n't have been a good fit for my aunt who is in a wheelchair. The staff was friendly and helpful. The community appeared clean and well taken care of. It just didn't seem suited for my aunts care level needs.

He was only there for 12 days before he broke his leg. I can't give a lot of feedback on the care services or the activities. They do offer activities but he could not participate in any of them.

We had a sort of mixed experience with Parkcliffe. Some of the staff there is really wonderful, but some of them seemed a little clueless. For example, there was a medication that my husband was supposed to be given 10mg of twice a day and they gave him 20mg all at once which they were not supposed to do and it caused some issues. I then demanded that they call me before giving the medication, and they didn't. I hate to be so hard on them, but the medication thing is important and getting that wrong is a huge issue.

The Director was very knowledgable and caring. We saw one home and one apartment. This might be a great fit for some. Not sure it's for Mom.

I toured this facility. It smelled like urine, even the room that they showed us did. The shared bathroom also smelled like urine. No one had masks on. I would not recommend it.

Carefully think about placing a loved one in Northwood assisted living. One review captured the situation perfectly. The price may be right (reasonable) but you get what you pay for - underpaid staff & minimal staff on duty at any time. Request information regarding how long staff have worked at this facility. Few have "staying power" as it seems to be a revolving door. Staff members are not skilled caretakers with any type of required educational training. They're aides who are expected to do a range of activities- including meal preparation & cleanup, laundry & housekeeping for residents and the "house". Management allows staff to bring their children or pets to work in order to keep houses staffed. If staff calls in sick, there's no substitute. The remaining person works alone or other staff members work double shifts. I doubt the glowing reviews come from persons who were visiting their loved ones daily. I blame management for their inability to attract/maintain topnotch staff.

This facility is very, very understaffed. On a good day there are 2 people working a 12 hr shift 7am-7pm.. 2 people to 13 residents. They literally have to do everything! Cooking, cleaning, laundry and taking care of 13 dementia residents. When one person called off all this falls on one worker. Pretty impossible right? Night shift has one worker from 7pm-7am. This is not a medical facility. This is a group home for memory care residents. These are not nurses, or social workers or even STNA's. These are reg people with minimal training and minimal pay. But this is the only facility of its kind in the area. The only other choice for dementia residents is a "lockdown" ward in a nursing home! So they kinda gotcha between a rock and a hard place. A lesser of two evils! Not enough choices for dementia care unfortunately.

I transferred my parent to a different facility after they were here for a few months. This community was unsatisfactory in every way: very few activities, mostly frozen food cooking, and lack of individualized attention.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a terrible experience - right away we noticed there was an smell and it reminded us of a nursing home. The room the tour guide showed us wasn't even finished, there was carpet all pulled up and cabinet doors taken off. It was just not a good first impression
