My dad moved into this community and fell several times, one time fracturing his skull. He was transported to the hospital at least five times. We gave notice after the last fall and hospitalization, but they have continued to bill us and take an additional two months rent, although, my father has passed away. We paid for extra care services but I am not confident that he was receiving that care. I also believe that his medications were missed sometimes. I was kind to the staff and they were very nice to me. I especially felt that the caregivers, cleaning staff, dining staff, and front desk staff were very nice. I visited four communities, and we chose this community because it was an old monastery and my dad felt comfortable because it was Catholic and they offered mass. I would say to other families to be careful with the documents your sign before placing your loved one here.

First impressions are very good. We will definitely be considering this community.

Very Nice

We really liked this community it was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and seemed nice. The community was clean and well maintained however the location was further than what we were looking for.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community for my mother. The staff where on time to our appointment and provided us with a lot of great information as well as answer any questions that we had for them. It was just not the right location in the end decision but It was a pleasant experience.

Very clean, great staff, helpful, convenient, supportive, organized, quiet, peaceful, nicely managed, so far, she's happy and say's it's a 5 star hotel!!

Landmark @ Monastery Heights is going well. One is I have is that getting laundry done is extra. I think that should be included for as much as I am paying. The staff is kind of picky with the medications. They are not giving my mother medication but it is all locked up in her room. She has to get someone to come unlock it when she needs to take it. I know it's probably not the facility but a state rule. Overall it has absolutely been a good experience at this facility.

Older building but seemed to be well maintained. Staff very friendly and informative. Memory unit full and there is a six month wait list. Price was more reasonable than both Armbrook or Ruth's House

My 100 year old father needed a 4week respite stay while my husband & I were each having major surgeries. The Prosper environment was casual & laid back, just what he needed. The Admissions/Marketing Director was a pleasure to work with & took time to make dad feel welcome. The staff was very attentive & accommodating to his needs. On the 11th day of his 4 week stay he had a health issue which necessitated an ER visit & hospitalization. His reevaluation determined he did not qualify to return for the rest of his stay. The one dis’s appointment was that he was not reimbursed for any of the remaining unused days.

Good value for cost. I would consider for myself or anyone not under hospice care. I picked this community because of the cost, quick and very pleasant admission staff.

We moved my Mom here because of how it looked and smelled and what it had to offer. We made sure that they accept Medicaid waver because she only had enough money for the first year. We didn’t expect her to die within the first month. Such an incompetent staff! Not all, but 90% and the biggest incompetence came from the top down. If you want a studio apartment, this place is lovely. However, the single bedroom apartment is simply 2 studios combined; it even has 2 bathrooms. The closets, except in the memory care unit, are high and the heat and air conditioning are still provided by through-the-wall units. (This is a converted hotel). Otherwise, it is beautiful and the staff wonderful.

The building, a former monastery, has lovely features, but its age is showing. Hallways were somewhat dimly lit and some floors were uneven underfoot. Felt more like a college dorm than a residence. And while they are situated on beautiful acreage, there are no gardens or outside gathering areas to speak of, just a few seats near the entrance. A wasted opportunity. Residents were quite friendly and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves, though.

So far it is a good experience and they can improve in some areas. There are no problem with cleanliness around the community. My aunt is enjoying the meals they make.

It seems to be okay so far. The staff is friendly and they keep it pretty clean. I like the food there. The only thing I was a little disheartened about, is the disagreement and difficult time I was given over some paperwork on the administrative end of things.

I did not like the feel of this place. The outdoor courtyard was empty, it's on a hill in a not-so-nice neighborhood so the walking would be difficult. I talked to one resident who was looking for someone to sit with. No one around. She said the food was 'so-so.' Unless the resident is sick, taking a tray to a room costs $10. [removed] the studio was large and a one-bedroom was available for a couple hundred more, which felt luxurious. [removed] it's only a 20-minute drive but the route felt dangerous. Pricing is reasonable but the basic care package of $400 allows for 30 minutes a day of care. 60/90 minute packages available in $400/mo increments.

Group Foster Care rooms are very small, and walk to the dining room is a long way. Not sure mom can do it. One room with bathroom and closet.

I like some of the staff, and one of the nurses was actually amazing. [name removed]. My mom had two falls while there. Both resulting in broken bones. One fairly debilitating. Even though it is an "assisted living" it is a memory unit my mom was on and I feel as though that was forgotten. I believe prosper believed the idea they are in a confined space, then they are safe. That isn't always the case. They do not have enough staff to provide the level of care some of the people need. I feel like their residents got lost in the mix and there isn't enough one on one care. It was supposed to be a place where my mom could live out her life, and when she could no longer do things by herself they could no longer provide her care or "keep her safe" and I believe that, the do could not keep her safe. She is now safe where she is currently at. There were so many things that I was not happy with there. If someone didn't come out of their room, no one would check on them unless they didn't show up for a meal. The activities were lacking and there was a lot of fighting among the residents. The concept is great, and my mom wasn't ready for full on skilled care, I liked the idea of her remaining some independence. That part I liked, but the lack of follow through.

At Prosper at Wickliffe, there is not enough staff for more than the first floor in memory care. Most caregivers that were assigned to the memory care unit seemed out of the area or not attentive. My mother was given a room on the second floor which was not staffed, left alone, experienced many falls then sent to hospitals. We requested not to use Lake West Hospital ever, yet she was sent there where poor care was given. Few activities were provided, which were noticed by family visits at random times. My loved one rarely if ever, received a shower. If not for a few dedicated staff, there wouldn't have been any care be provided. I would not recommend this facility for memory care.
