Would definitely recommend
It feels like family. You get to know everyone and they get to know you. It's much smaller and doesn't have an institutional feel to it.

I love Aspen Quality Care, it is just like a big extension of our family. We went with this community because it was smaller and it really does feel like a home with a family. Our loved one is getting wonderful care and everyone has been so sweet and supportive and helpful and caring. I do not have to worry about her when I can't be there. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would most definitely recommend this community to other families.

If I could give this place a ZERO on every account, I would. My dad lived there two weeks before he passed away, and we moved my mom out within ten days after my dad's service. I can't even describe how awful it was, but here are a few examples. On several occasions, my mom would call and tell me that she hadn't received her medicine. Upon examination, medicines were not given at the correct time, and sometimes were given in incorrect dosages. On one occasion [name removed] actually cancelled my mom's prescription of my mother's anti anxiety medicine - right after my dad passed away. The food is terrible- one night they ordered pizza and had potato chips. Another time, my mom asked for a vegetable and was given yogurt. The night of my father's service, my grief stricken mother fell so hard that her head hit the wall and left a dent. They called 911 and the paramedics came, but did not transmit mom to the hospital. Aspen Care NEVER told me - my mom did. The rooms can get very dirty. One week, their housekeeper was sick and instead of hiring temporary help or cleaning themselves, they just kept making excuses. I went out and vacuumed the room and scoured the bathroom, and they apologized and kept making excuses. My mom told me many times that she pressed the button for help in the night and no one would come. I witnessed this as well - after 10 - 15 minutes when no one came, I would go get help. There was an excuse for EVERYTHING. They have a calendar of activities on the wall, but the activities rarely happened. I think there was music once in the six weeks we were associated with Aspen Care. On top of it all - it is wildly expensive. We moved my mom to a beautiful, clean, social place with many activities for $2,000 less a month. Do not use this facility!

The owner, [name removed] and her staff really standout as professional, friendly, and kind. The facility is bigger than most AFH's so they have more to offer and they are very prompt to call me if they have even the smallest concern. This makes me and my Mom feel secure. Fantastic backyard to enjoy in the summer months.

I placed my mom at Aspen on [date removed] and moved her out NOT soon enough on [date removed]....I was told one price before I moved her in and told a higher price when I moved her there. The day after she was placed there the management requested Hospice do her showers! So charging more and doing less was my first impression. They do not like you asking questions about your loved ones care! The owner and her manager get very defensive if questioned about things...many days my mom was sat facing a wall at meal time by herself.. I asked why? I also asked why they had a sign hanging in entryway stating movie of the week...I never saw them playing any movies and the title on sign never changed the entire time my mom was there! When questioned about it they removed the entire sign! Never once did I see them doing crafts with the residents and I was there most days. When the state came in to do evaluation the entire atmosphere was different while they were on the premise. On my second to last bill I was charged an additional fee of 60.00 that I was not informed of beforehand and when I asked about it the owner yelled I WILL JUST TAKE IT OFF YOUR BILL! She didn't and I paid it. But did I receive a credit or refund? No! My mom fell on several occasions and I was to be informed about it if and when that happened as written in her care plan...they never called! I would be informed sometimes several days later by one of the caregivers. As retaliation for my questions and concern about my moms care on my last bill the fee was raised again stating she had been needing additional care...coincidence?? Again I hadn't seen them doing anything different than they had been doing with her [removed] at this point I quickly placed her somewhere else and am Thankful I did.

I came in today to see a family member and was greeting with a smiling gal at the door saying welcome. If you want a place for your family member with true hospitality, this is a great place to see.

Aspen Quality Care is like living in a beautiful Hotel with all the amenities! Melanie and Jon as well as the rest of their staff are caring, accommodating and down to earth. Their residents are well cared for and happy; they are treated with dignity and respect. The dedication of Aspen Quality Care is manifest in the many improvements they implement to make their facility state of the art and always comfortable for their residents. I enjoyed my tour and I would not hesitate to recommend them to my own loved ones or to anyone else for that matter!

I had the opportunity to tour the facility and see first hand how what a family oriented facility this is. The owners, residents and staff seemed like one big family. The residents seemed to feel very at home there. The meals were homemade which everyone enjoyed! The main living areas, and outdoor deck were very warm and inviting. The rooms were really nice and I felt like I was in a family members house and not a retirement home. Everyone seemed very respectful of each other. The camaraderie between everyone was very heartfelt a d just seemed like an extended family. Very clean, nicely decorated. I would not hesitate to have a family member here as a resident when the time comes. Secure, clean, warm inviting family oriented.

A Place for Mom has scored Aspen Quality Care 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
