Do NOT use for aging parents who need PT
Beyond safety, my Mom was in Brandon Oaks for PT/OT after a broken hip. It was RARELY given and when it was it wasn’t scheduled ahead of time, inconsistent and not particularly helpful. After 2 MONTHS in their care she was sent home and suggested ‘4-6 hours of additional care might be needed.’ I can’t express how frustrated I am - she’s needed so much more. We had friends and family check on her regularly there and voiced our concerns. The STAFF was very polite and the food was excellent- CNAa were sweet and excellent…. But the PT & OT were awful. Some even explained they needed to shorten what little time they spent with her to go pick up a child for after school activities. She missed very good activities the staff planned WAITING & hoping to have PT & OT. NO PT/ OT on weekends We will not go back and would advise others to select a different facility.

Terrible experience
One star is too good for our experience. My mom has Parkinson’s and severe hip arthritis. Brandon Oaks Rehab let her fall in her room three times. She came down with Covid and they put her in isolation. Her entire left side was bruised. The responsiveness of the staff was terribly slow. The PA on staff was a joke. The doctor saw her twice for about 5 minutes. Do not let your loved one go here. Not only is it terrible care, your loved one may come out worse than when she went in, like my mom. Go anywhere but Brandon Oaks Rehab.

An excellent facility for an aging parent
As a daughter of an aging mother, I believe that the medical and support staff at Brandon Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation facility provided my mother with exceptional medical care, love and dignity during the last three 1/2 years of her life. My mother entered Brandon Oaks for rehabilitation of a broken hip. The rehab staff were friendly, supportive and diligent in their efforts to aid my mother back to a more independent life style. When a stroke and several more falls indicated that independent living was no longer a possibility, the nursing and rehab staff continued to meet the changing needs yet allowed my mother to decide whether or not to return to assisted living or remain in nursing care support. Choosing nursing care support, the nursing and activity staff worked hard to make Brandon Oaks a home. The staff encouraged my mother's involvement in as many activities as she was willing to do. Trips out, singing groups, and bible studies were all part of her daily activities. Musical performances, picnics, and special events livened up the daily schedule. The staff also respected her privacy and decisions. When I was in need of their support and help at the end of her life, the entire staff went out of their way to provide opportunities for the family to be together and to care for me as well as meeting all of my mother's medical needs. I am grateful for my mother's decision to become part of the Brandon Oaks family. This facility did an exceptional job in meeting her needs and the staff supported me as well. Thank you.

Staff is very inviting and residents are happy
I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Aunt. It is a very nice facility and the staff members are very inviting. When I showed up I was unannounced but the woman took me on a tour without skipping a beat. While I was walking around, all of the residents seemed to be satisfied and smiling. It was a clean community and had no odor. However, I didn’t bring my Aunt here because it was too big of a building and I know she would get lost. I would recommend this facility to other families

disappointed and inferiated
The long term nursing home and rehab facility is a joke. Lack personal caring, especially with DON. Mentally is it's just a job. Numerous incidence that involved injuries with no changes in care or prevention. Very disappointed considering the money that has to put out up front just to get in the door. Broken bones should not be taken lightly!

Frequently Asked Questions
about Brandon Oaks

A Place for Mom has scored Brandon Oaks 1.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
