The apartments are decent sized and well maintained. The facility is always clean. It has an open feel to it. The people look out for each other. They organize activities that you have the option of attending or not. They provide transportation to and from doctor appointments. They provide transportation to and from grocery store if desired. They provide 3 meals a day with the cost of the apartment. The food is not top notch but it is decent. Overall, this place is a great place for any independent elderly people who would enjoy a sense of community.

Review for Highland Estates
The staff and community members are friendly, helpful and kind. The building and apartments are clean and well kept. Recently food service has changed and residents have to wait in line in a buffet style service. Additionally, the buffet dining service isn't what was being done at the time my mother signed up,and standing in line is hard for many of the residents.

Great experience
My dad was here about a year and they were excellent, it was a very nice facility. He ended up needing more care than they were able to provide which is the reason he moved out. It is a great place for independent living.

Parents stay was wonderful
My parents and mentally handicapped sister had to move to Cedar Park as their house was extensively damaged in Lake Charles, LA. During this time, my sister was accepted into a work/residential community in Georgetown, TX. For Oct to Dec, I was taking my sister to Brookwood. It was about 1 1/2 hour round trip twice a day. Once Stephanie was permanently accepted it was best for us to move them all to Georgetown. Everyone on the staff at Highland was incredibly helpful, kind, and caring. My family was sad to leave but new it was best to be closer to Stephanie in Georgetown. I can't say enough for how everyone was so kind and helpful.

[Name removed] worked with me for 3 days to make sure I was happy with my room. I was worried about a favorite piece of furniture fitting in the room, she asked for the measurements and went to a couple diff rooms to see if it fit. [name removed] went way beyond making sure I was a fit in her community. She went way beyond and is very personable! I can't say enough great things about [name removed]!

This is a very nice facility, and [name removed] was warm and welcoming. There are lots of activities, and they have a program to help new folks get adjusted. There is home health care on site for those who need extra assistance, and we spoke to the director of the home health care services.

At peace with our decision.
My father is now a resident at Highland Estates. He is in a lovely apartment with new flooring and carpeting. He was aided in getting a fence and having it installed by the office managers there. They helped him install a shower extension, a land line phone and are even finding him a taller chair to be comfortable in the dining room. They even placed phone calls for him until his phone was installed. When he first arrived they introduced him to other residents that they felt he had things in common with and even found him a dog walker. My dad is so happy there and it is because of how everyone (especially [name removed]) go above and beyond to make sure there resident are happy in their new homes.

Loved the place and the fact that we could keep our dog but the cost was prohibitive for what we need. The one bedroom/one bath was just too small and the 2/2 was out of our price range.

I toured this community and it was nice and clean. It was really close to my son. Everyone was fo friendly and answered all of my questions. But I had to go with another community because the budget just didn't meet up. I would recommend this to people.
