Legend at Tulsa Hills is a beautiful community with elegant modern architecture. Located just west of the Arkansas River, the home has access to lovely parks and nature reserves, as well as convenient shopping, dining, and medical providers. The home is thoughtfully designed with abundant natural light, low-pile carpeting, and an intentional color palette, making it easy to navigate for those experiencing vision loss or who are prone to tripping.
Community members can choose from a variety of apartments that foster privacy, independence, and safety. The home’s pet-friendly apartments have spacious private baths with walk-in showers, convenient kitchenettes, an emergency call system, and some have their own private patios. Caregivers are available around the clock to aid with activities of daily living, medication support, memory care, and more, all in a personalized care plan. In addition to dignified and professional personal care services, residents enjoy laundry, housekeeping, maintenance, transportation, and restaurant-style dining.

The beginning of Mom and Dad's experience there was a little rough. Dad's dementia caused a great deal of anxiety. However, the staff handled it very well. They were very helpful showing Mom how to use the facility and where things were. As far as dining is concerned, I would say the food is average. they do seem to encourage their residence to eat pretty early there, which has caused a little bit of an issue with Mom and Dad. I'm sure it's just an adjustment they need to make. The activities are fun and well planned. [name removed] has attended several and seemed to really enjoy herself.

I would recommend others to go there. My suggestion is to get the menu for the week if there's anything your loved one likes or doesn't like. My dad is being a bit standoffish about going to the dining room. So the meal is defaulted to the daily entrée not a menu choice.

I was familiar with Legend properties, but had never been to the one in Tulsa, so Allison arranged a virtual tour since we do not live locally. The following week, we were forced to do an emergency placement for my Mother in -Law and the entire staff went out of their way to find temporary furniture and got her set up in her new apartment by the end of the day. They also recommended a mover to help get her personal furniture moved in quickly. The staff at Tulsa Hills is caring, attentive and easy to work with. The food is very good and served restaurant style with many choices. There are many activities, outings and events to choose from, plus a movie theatre and library on site. The facility is very clean with a number of apartment layouts to choose from, depending on availability. We feel very grateful to have found a place where my Mother in-law is safe and well cared for.

Great people and facility. Food quality went down after moving in. Could not get insurance straightened out. Had to hire a lawyer. Medication dispensation had to be monitored by family to get correct. For the money I would expect things to have run a lot smoother without so much family involvement. I would not recommend them unless the family wants to bird dog the care constantly. We have interviewed many others since moving them there and found they all have organizational issues and promises not kept to some degree. We did move them to the grove about a year ago and are having some issues there too. But will say the staff at both are great and very caring in nature. I think the problems stem from the corporate level that seem disconnected.

My husband & I moved here to get help for my 93-year old husband who suddenly was unable to walk because of long-term periphery neuropathy. He needed help during the night to go to the bathroom and needed assistance with bathing. Within two weeks, we discontinued pushing the "Help Pendant" because we would wait as long as 50 minutes and each new night person needed to be instructed on how to help. This wasn't conducive to getting back to sleep. I told my husband we should get a discount in our monthly payments, but he didn't want to "ruffle any feather"...I continued to help him each night. He later developed 30 lbs of fluid and congestive heart failure got worse. He was eventually on six diuretic medications and eventually needed to either get up every 1-2 hours in which we set an alarm and still soaked pads for the beds and bedding until he resorted to wearing "diapers" with double men's pads in the diaper. The dining room is TERRIBLE! It should be the highlight of Legend

Med techs, front desk, nurses, are all very attentive and responsive. Very pleased with staff. Facility is very nice, salon is a draw. Only comment would be to have more access to outdoor walking trail.

Our mother's transition form her home to the Legend could not have gone smoother. Everyone is knowledgeable, helpful, and caring which is so important to our family. We are very happy and would recommend this facility w/o hesitation.

Med techs are conscientious, soothing, and dedicated. Front office staff and manage are interested in mom, providing feedback and enthusiastic. Activities director is energetic and engaging. Mom has gone from apprehension to enjoyment.
