Great food, friendly staff, and a good value.
What we like the most about the community is the food was excellent. The physical therapist was very caring. And it was a great value.

Really like the people, but they seem a bit understaffed. Also had a tough time getting work orders finished when things were broken. Memory care is compact, which seemed like a weakness, but my dad actually likes it because he never feels lost/he's never far from other people.

We needed a place in Northglenn or Thornton and this was the best price in that area. We would have chosen a different place but for the price this was best. As for staff, the previous director did a poor job and has been replaced. (Regulatory issues, I think). It's too early to tell about the replacement.

We picked Northglenn Heights because my dad could ride his scooter to Malley Transitional Care Center where my stepmom was. The Catholic Church was across the street. Everything was close. Staff was wonderful and very accommodating! The facility was beautiful. My dad really loved to food too.

I had great communication with the lady who got us in and showed us the the apt and when I really needed you get ahold of someone she would make it happen. I just have concerns about the medication not being dispensed correctly causing stress to me. I wish they were more interactive but they are nice and helpful at the front desk.

The Chef is wonderful; homemade breads and desserts, great entrees!! Beautiful courtyard with trees, grass, benches and lots of birds. The apartments have patios with sliding doors. The staff members are kind and enthusiastic. The facility is older but well maintained.

A couple hiccups but overall it was was very good. We picked this community because of the cost and location.

The apartment is very clean. Common areas appear less clean, probably due to need for updated carpet and paint. They have good care for the most part, but it seems to drop off sharply on the weekends. The food is good, but the process for off- schedule eating needs more flexibility. Dad often misses meals and just has to wait until the next meal (which is easily missed, too). There are a good number of activities, but they seldom interest my Dad. They probably need more attention paid to devising activities for men. We chose this community because of its affordability.

After 2 months at the facility office staff called and wanted my dad immediately removed after a disagreement with another gentleman in memory care. We had no where safe within my home to house him from wandering off which is why we waited 5 months on the waiting list to get him in. We thought this would be the home for his remaining time with alzheimers and 3 kinds of terminal cancer and a place for hospice to make him comfortable. Nursing staff was kind as was front receptionist. Office staff absolutely horrible!! They kept our $[removed] deposit, demanded we remove him immediately (which police explained to them it couldnt be safely done) and wanted us to pay an additional $[removed] a month to administer meds he doesnt need so he would be a sleeping zombie. The entire point of a memory care is to keep people from wandering off, not to take money and then leave families high and dry for end of life care. I have never heard of a facility so [profanity removed] that they kick out a dying man.

The value was by far the best of all the places I checked. They have activities daily and they already feel like family. The food is much better than I expected of a facility like this. Thank you so much for your help in finding this new home for my mom.

Most of the staff was very helpful....I felt they were understaffed though. The room was very clean, but I felt that bedding was not changed as often as it should have been. So, I would take care of that myself. Communication was fair. We were notified when there were issues, but they were inconsistent as to which family member they would call. Sometimes calling my sister, who lives out of state, and the time difference there delayed one of us locally having the info needing attention. The meals were good. This is a decent facility for a reasonable price. One very frustrating issue that kept occurring was the loss of clothing items. We grew to accept the situation and were thankful that at least there were clean clothes for my mom, even though they weren't always hers. They lost her wheelchair that was never located. We ended up having a wheelchair for her, but it wasn't what we had arranged for her. The replacement they offered wasn't as nice...heavy, difficult to fold. Frustrating situation.

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was fine but the community just had a very cooperate feel to it. When we arrived for the tour we were ignored for several minutes, and the staff that were there at the front desk were not approachable at all. They seemed to be very disorganized and chaotic which was not working in their favor The common areas were okay, but the rooms themselves were very dated, like extremely dated. The refrigerator that was in the room were saw looked like it belonged in the late 80s early 90s - it was a tacky brown color. The room we were shown was their respite room and that was supposed to be "nice" but it just felt dingy.

When I initially went there all the staff was very friendly and very tentative and helpful. I love the apartment that I put mom in. They've made a lot of changes there recently. New people and the old people leaving and not so sure all those choices are good because the old people actually were the helpful ones so I guess we will see what comes out of this. They did raise their prices which I thought was ridiculous, but what do you do it isn't like you can move. I also have another loved one here and he's under Medicaid. He just recently had a notice taped to his door that they will no longer use Medicaid because Medicaid dropped them for some reason. They didn't do what they were supposed to do. I'm not sure what that was, but he would have to move I believe he said in March or apply under a different program and hopefully he will get approved for that. Those kind of things are kind of concerning.
