This community is located on four and a half acres of gorgeous land, which features tree-lined walking paths, a peaceful stream, and a secure memory care courtyard. On-site staff assists with a wide range of short- or long-term care needs and provides residents with personalized memory care, assisted living services, and hospice care coordination. Sunrise of Flossmoor has worked hard to achieve a deficiency-free annual survey for the second year in a row. Associates strive to make each day unique and enjoyable for residents. Staff plans a variety of engaging activities ranging from cocktail socials to beading classes to interactions with the community’s pet yellow lab, Howie. Residents can remain active and entertained in the Flossmoor community.

A lot of the activities they have, our loved one is not able to do because of their vision impairments, but she loves the exercise classes! What we like the most about the community is the friendly staff. The place feels more like a home than a care facility and we would absolutely recommend them to others

I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to place their loved ones in a nurturing environment. The staff is very attentive. 2 there, residence. When you walk in, it is like coming home. The grounds are well maintained. And you can walk around with your family members and allow them to enjoy the scenery if they're not able to get out, like some people can. You walked in with a smile. It is warming to notice that most of the staff it's very familiar with the family members that come visit.

Move in and my mom's experience while there was exceptional. You could see and feel the staff's concern and response to my mom and others. They were very proactive in meeting my mom's needs. She improved in her physical health and her mental well being.

The administration (not nurses) in my experience most are not Friendly, seem to avoid family when visiting, not easily reachable and follow up is not good.

My comments pertain to the Reminiscence Community. It is difficult to communicate via telephone with the care managers in the Reminiscence community. The care managers seem to be over-extended on a regular basis. Basic needs of the residents are met. The community is safe, clean, and a nice environment for the residents . It is imperative for each resident to have an advocate (family or friend)!!!

We moved my Dad and his special companion, [name removed], here in Feb 2023. We are so happy we found Sunrise for them! Prior to coming here, they were at a different senior living community nearby, which didn’t provide the level of care you would hope. It seemed nice, was new and modern looking, but that's not what’s important and we soon saw through the shiny exterior. Here at Sunrise Flossmoor it’s more warm, and gives a feeling of home. It’s smaller, but not too small. People know each other, the staff can communicate and keep track of things better, and it’s not a long walk to get anywhere. The staff is friendly, the nurses are excellent, and the food is very good. The dining room can be slow at times, as they have welcomed many new residents recently. But they are training, figuring it out. I can’t stress this enough - they come when your loved one pushes the alert button for help! I have confidence that my loved ones are safe and well taken care of now.

My mom has been a resident for almost 2 1/2 years and our experience has exceeded expectations. The staff are truly caring and make an effort to know and interact with my mom and with me whenever I visit. The facility is immaculately clean. I visit frequently and at all times have f the day and have never found a concerning situation. Staff is quick to call regarding any observations or incidents. I am so happy we found Sunrise!

The facility operates well on every level. It is a warm, inviting community—complete with a wonderful service animal which makes the facility feel like a home. Each resident is given a care plan that is specific to their needs which allows family to feel comfortable that their loved one is being well care for. I have found the staff overall friendly and responsive to our needs.

[name removed] was wonderful! She showed me around and introduced me to so many people there. Everyone was so kind and happy. She was not at all pushy like some of the other places I looked at. I am hoping my mother will be able to move there in the next few months. The people were just lovely.

Outstanding care and kindness. In particular, the Reminiscence caregivers' care and compassion and love (yes, love) for my mother was beyond wonderful. It's hard to put into words. My mother was in Assisted Living for 4 years and Reminiscence for 6. Sunrise of Flossmoor was truly her home

We moved my father to the Flossmoor facility in January. We have nothing but good things to say. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed] and all the staff have been great, concerned and responsive. The faculty is always clean and decorated. Everyone feels safe and well cared for at Sunrise Flossmoor. I would recommend it highly and without reservation.

My wife has been a resident at Sunrise of Flossmoor for 7 years. The current leadership is by far the best I have witnessed. All staff are committed to quality care for all residents in a professional yet personal approach. They have created a true sense of "home" and "family" for the residents. The facility is always clean and well appointed with stylish furnishings and seasonal decorations when appropriate. I can't imagine a better facility for a loved one.

Sunrise of Flossmoor has been the absolute best facility for my dad. We wanted a facility where he could feel at home, have delicious meals, be able to enjoy a variety of activities, and receive the medical attention that he needs. Every day has been a day well lived at Sunrise and I as his daughter I can now live in peace, knowing that he is well cared for. The staff are some of the most top-notch people I have ever worked with! We've found HOME??

My dad was in memory care at Sunrise of Flossmoor. The care he received was extraordinary. Every single person is kind and truly cares about the residents. Sunrise is in a beautiful setting, the gardens are peaceful and the building is clean and well maintained. The staff went above and beyond to make sure my dad was comfortable and that my family was cared for as well. This was the second memory care my father lived in…the difference was noticeable. I recommend Sunrise of Flossmoor to anyone who is looking for a place that will give you the peace of mind that the person you love is being well taken care of.
