Everything is fine with my uncle since moving to Brookdale Countryside. He is adjusting nicely. I do not really have any complaints. He has had his eyes and ears checked sinc ebeing there and a hair cut as well. It is expensive but so is everywhere else. We visit him at least four times a week. Being close by was one of the deciding factors for us. It is a very pleasant place, not like a nursing home, it doesn't feel depressing. There are a lot of activities he can join in on when he chooses. And when he doesn't, the staff goes to check on him and make sure that he is okay. They do provide three meals a day which he says is a bit much for him, so he sometimes only goes for two meals. They do also have apples and other fruit to eat if the residents do not want a full meal. The meal sizes are a good portion and tasty. It is also close to the hospital in case that should be needed.

They can improve on their communication, they told us one thing and it wound up being another thing. Then my aunt told me they have a shortage of cleaning ladies to clean the room. I like the place and my aunt likes the place, but personnel I was not happy with.

There are a lot of activities, which is really important. It’s very clean! The staff is very knowledge and friendly. There is a nurse on hand twenty-four hours a day. It’s a great place. It’s a really good value you for the money.

They do have activities but they could get some additional things. They do go on a lot of outings, but a lot of the residents have dementia, so having some acitivites more geared toward those that can't really play a board game. The food is pretty good, but they eat a lot of sandwiches. The chef will cook them anything they want, but the waitstaff will come in and just give them a sandwich instead of asking if they would like something different. It would just be nice if they would ask once in a while. They have a hairstylist, a private lady, which is nice, and when we go I take my mom and pay cash. It would be nice if there was a way to make sure that my mom isn't going and having her hair done all the time, though, because I got a bill that I wasn't expecting, and because she has dementia, she can't keep track.

This place is so wonderful, the people are so nice everybody from Philip the director, down to the kitchen staff, they couldn't be anymore caring. I would reccommend it to anyone. They are the sweetest people. The first day I called, they were right on it and the marketing director Nancy Trusdale is wonderful. They offer a higher level of care if you need it. They would respond very quickly when he would call for anyone, they will ask what time he wants his shower, and if he says 9:30, they come back right at 9:30. It's a very cozy family feel. There is music playing and people bustling about. It's across the street from the VA, it's not affiliated with the VA but it is close to it. It's very casual all on one level not a lot of elevator business going on. The director just knocks himself out to make things happen. They offered a 30 respite which was a trial period. She fixed up a little room for him furnished. And they also offered different levels of services, we chose more than we needed and we were able to reduce the care needs as we didn't need them anymore. We went to the dentist and forgot his partials, and so I called the front desk to see if the driver could pick me up and bring me back, the girl at the front desk said not to worry about it, went and got his partials and drove them over to me within five minutes! One waitress who serves in the dining room has been there twenty years. That say's a lot! There is not one person there that I don't like.

They have been really good! Actually, the food is something though - he complains that it is either chicken or fish, chicken or fish. There's not a lot of variety. The staff is just awesome. They all know my dad, they are wonderful. He is in assisted living and he has his own apartment with a kitchenette. We pretty much knew as soon as we say Freedom Inn that we would choose it.

Tremendous culture of caring, from the directors to the nurses to the CNAs. My mother was a resident for almost 4 years and we always counted ourselves lucky that we found such a wonderful place.

So far everything is working out well since my aunt's move to this community. It is a nice place, and I'am satisfied with her move here. She is safe and being cared for very well. The layout is very nice, and they do a good job with the cleanliness of the facility. It has been a good experience, and I would recommend this facility.

The worst has been meals on the weekends, specifically breakfast--if they get one. Cooks consistently don't show up, calling for a late breakfast that might not consist of much. It's been a great place for her! She has met many people, made friends, and is happy with what is provided for her. Based on this stage of her life, it has been the ideal place for her to live.

Overall, very good but there is a notable difference sometimes between the night staff and daytime staff in terms of care. Less oversight (night) = less care. They are undergoing a change in ownership. The food is a sparse selection, they are often out of basic things like orange juice or a breakfast meat for days at a time, and it just isn't very good. Steady decline over last 3-4 months.

What we like the most about this community is that we feel good leaving our loved one there because she is happy and well cared for. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far. I've had friends and relatives in understaffed homes and all you see is neglect. The Collier is one of the best.

[name removed] is great! She sold us on The Collier. The staff is great too! It’s a very nice place. The price is a little high considering that they don’t provide anything at all. No furniture, no supplies, not a thing. It’s close to my house and they do take Medicaid if you can apply and get it.

The experience was good. They took care of my mom as much as she would let them. They checked on her pretty regular and they were nice to her.We checked several places. Mom found faults at all but this facility. They had a room she liked available we had her moved in the next day.

I think clients and THE Pointe's Staff will improve by including a lot more fresh fruit every day! Please put a sign up sheet for red Lobster and Outback restraunts 2x monthly!

The Pointe as a whole has been a blessing. We thank the staff who share their compassion for residents and our mom, including daily care, planning activities and family gatherings! Our concerns are the disrespectful attitudes of the staff (some) towards moms questions or needs, adding to her anxiety and feeling of being unvalued. The inconsistencies of scheduled care such as med dispercement, showers, dining, laundry and room cleaning are ongoing. We are hopeful these areas will improve.

The director and the staff really listen to what your needs are and work to accommodate you. Area for improvement in my opinion would be the food. The meals are nourishing, but could be more tasty.

They really try to cater to my loved ones needs, with the food options. The food is very good. They do many things well, the only issue is with billing sometimes. They could be more responsive. Overall, my loved one is happy, and is treated well.
