We were very glad for the Farmington Square.

We were very glad for the Farmington Square. I really like the system where you rent the room and the service. It was a good value, they give a discount for my being there and helping. They were very good about being there every two hours to turn him. The whole family could come anytime to visit 24 hours a day. It was very, very clean, spotless, with no smells. It's a really nice retirement home. They have a sunroof in the hallways so it gets a lot of natural light.

Memory Care
December 5, 2014

My 82 year father was at Farmington Square Beaverton for almost 3 years and we never had a problem with the staff there. They were nothing but awesome. After my father had a stroke, he was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia. He was having very aggressive behavior and was denied by every memory care facility that we had tried to get him into. On the day before he was to be released from the rehab facility he was in, after his stroke, we contacted Farmington Square. They came out to evaluate him and said they would take him in. From that point on, my father continued to improve. They were instrumental in helping even out his meds and make sure he was as comfortable as possible. He eventually began to call Farmington Square home. We all were very happy with the care he received there. They were kind and caring to all of the residents, not just my father. When my father was in the last stages of his life, to no fault of Farmington Square, all of the staff, even the administration, were very kind and understanding. Making sure that my father, as well as the rest of my family, were comfortable. They even invited my family to join in their staff Thanksgiving dinner. I would recommend Farmington Square Beaverton to anyone. Thanks to Teddi, Rachael, Jen, Carlos, Nancy, Steven, Alex and to the rest of the staff at Farmington Square Beaverton. I wish I could give you guys more than five stars!

Very nice place

They do a fantastic job at Farmington Square at Beaverton. It is an attractive well kept facility, and the staff all seem very friendly. But what I think is most important is that my loved one feels comfortable here. The whole place just has a very quiet, structured atmosphere that my loved one has really thrived in. We used them for a few months for day care services, and eventually got him a room here, and we have been very happy with both types of service.

Nice place, overall

Overall we've had a good experience with Farmington Square at Gresham! I'd give them high marks across the board! It's a nice looking facility, the staff are all very friendly, and they've got plenty to offer in terms of care and amenities. They're definitely worth a looks if you're looking into senior care!

Wonderful Caring Facility for My Mom!!

Awwww.. the lady in the picture is one of my mom's caregivers. I absolutely love Farmington and my mom is happier than she has ever been. They have a relatively new Activities person that is so wonderful. They do all kinds of activities and include my mom and all the other residents. The only thing I have had any issues with is the Director and in working with him we are getting along relatively well. But the rest of the staff are so sweet and patient. It's so nice to go see my mom and she is clean and healthy and smiling and happy! She actually seems like she is getting better. I don't really know how the cost compares but I don't worry about the cost... I worry about my mom and how she is cared for and loved by the staff. I would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to place a family member somewhere where they will get love as well as the care they need.

Warm & Caring!

Farmington Square is a wonderful & warm place. They seem to really care there. Such a totally different experience from the first place we put my Dad in. My Dad seem to be very relaxed & comfortable at Farmington Square. It is like a big warm home there & not barren & chaotic like the other place. Farmington Square goes the extra distance for you and your loved one. I am so happy we made the change for my Dad. We do love him so much.

Good Care for my Husband

My husband has been there for a couple weeks and it's fine so far. He's getting good care. I'm there about everyday, all afternoon. He was at a foster home but he needed 24 hour nursing care so this is better for him. It takes a couple guys to lift him up because he can't even stand anymore. It's clean and the staff is very friendly when I go out there and he has good care. So far he's been there a few weeks and he's on hospice so they check on him too. The hospice nurse said this is a good place for him to be.

Review of Emerald Gardens, Woodburn OR

I highly recommend Emerald Gardens in Woodburn OR. They offer assisted living and memory care along with respite care. The staff is very caring and are always willing to help my mom. She lives in assisted living and needs some extra attention at times. The caregivers never make her feel guilty or at fault. They always assure her that they are there to help her anytime she needs them. They offer fun things for the residents to do but they make sure they stay distant from each other. They are very diligent about keeping everyone safe from disease. They are always open to helping me take care of my mom since I'm not able to visit with her. They are always patient with my questions and concerns. Please contact them if you have someone you love that needs the extra care they can provide.

Homeless Newbies

On [date removed], as a result of wildfires in southern Oregon, my 78-year-old handicapped husband and I were homeless. Our home and RV were both totally destroyed and we were heartbroken. Hundreds were displaced in our area and there was a dearth of housing units, particularly ones that were handicap accessible. I happened upon a website called "A Place for Mom", and I entered our information. A short while later I received a call from [name removed] who doesn't usually work on Sundays, but saw my request and reached out. Long story short, about two weeks later we were able to move in to Pioneer Village. We love our new home! From [name removed] initial contact with us, to moving in to our lovely apartment, to enjoying everyday life here--the whole experience is wonderful! The residents are friendly and welcoming, and the staff goes out of its way to help us in any way possible. Oh yes, the housekeeping is great and so is the food! God is so good and we thank Him for helping us find Pioneer Village!

Home at Sweetbriar Villa

My Mom has lived at Sweetbriar Villa for 8 months. All the staff has been very accommodating and kind to her. They seem to be really good at taking each individual just where they are and doing their best to meet the needs. Dementia is a hard stage in life but they do it so well. I feel I can call or email anytime I have any type of concern and get the results I am looking for. Administrative staff is stellar as well. Sweetbriar has definitely become our Moms "Home" Also at this time in life, food becomes such an important part of the day.
