I was in the process of moving back to San Antonio when my friend Pat [removed] had just had a tour at NewForest Estates and told me it was the perfect place for me. The funny part was she was not ready to move in herself. I had a tour of the community and Pat my friend of over thirty years was correct! I love everything about my new home. I made the mistake of leaving it once and regretted it. I missed the good service and my apartment. It did not take me long to move back. My friend Pat has now moved in also. It's great having her here with me.

I love everything about NewForest Estates. There is always something to do. Food is good. Activities are great. I love the Activity Director Brenda, she does a great job. I also love Randy [removed and Michael [removed]. All the staff is so helpful here. There is not one person in this community that I do not like. My daughter tried to get me to move out and move in with her, but I refused because I am happy and content here.

I love living here. I am very content with my apartment. All of the staff is very helpful and that's what makes us happy here. I am happy and active here. I love the music socials, the party themes are great. It's just wonderful here.

I just had my 104th Birthday Celebration at Pacifica @ NewForest Estates. It was a wonderful party! I received over 104 birthday cards from friends, managers and staff. I was overwhelmed with the party. I love living here! They are always checking on you to see if you are okay and if I need anything. Great service! I want to thank Brenda, Activities Director for the special work and detail she did for my birthday party. My friends are still talking about the event. I have lived here three and a half years now and I still continue to make new friends daily.

I have been here only three months, and I was welcomed with open arms by the residents at my new home. I already belong to a card group. I play every night with my new friends and the food is really good. I love the activity music socials.

My daughter-in-law and two granddaughters visited two other communities and they all agree that Pacifica @ NewForest Estates was the right choice for me and it was! I have made so many new friends and the staff is very helpful. I feel safe here. There are a lot of activities to choose from. My favorite is exercises. I have lived at NewForest Estates three wonderful years and counting!

My husband and I started out together at Independent living. When the time came and he needed more help he was moved to assisted living where he continue to receive excellent care. I have been Pacifica @ NewForest Estates for ten years. I enjoy my friends and the activity programs provided for us. I feel safe and happy here. Housekeeping does a great job with my apartment.

A place for Mom helped me move here and I love my apartment, 3 and a half years later I still love it. I think the staff are great and the 3 meals a day really sold me . All the extras we get are beautiful. I really feel this is my home. I don't have any family here but I told Randy that if I needed to move in assisted living I would like to move here nowhere else.

So far it's going pretty good. It's clean, but they have a lot of construction going on right now. The staff is very pleasant and very helpful. They have certain windows of time for meals, by the end of that window, the food will be a little cold. There is always something to do. I am really happy with it.

[name removed] at the front desk is fantastic and has an amazing, helpful attitude. [name removed] has been a good communicator. The facility is extremely clean and smells good at all times.

There are a couple of CNA that have taken great care of dad. A new administrator was hired in October and everything changed. The current administer is does not really care about clients. She is manipulative and tends to shade the truth.

From our first tour visit through family member's current residency, everyone at Graceland is caring and kind, very responsive to requests & questions from family members/resident. The general areas are kept tidy and odor-free (e.g., accidental spills are attended to quickly). Individual room housekeeping gets daily basic attention (e.g. trash removal) but the monthly detailed room clean-up is lacking due to short staff headcount. Everyone ~ from Administrative level through the day-to-day staff ~ at Graceland shows compassion and care to all. Quality of care. >> some days a 4, other days a 2. it depends on staff number for the day and the number of incidents needing prompt attention. Overall, the menu is bland; lacks fresh vegetables and appealing flavors. There are daily offerings but family member does not participate. There are no off-site offerings. After visiting a dozen assisted living facilities, Graceland was chosen as a good fit for my family member due to its location, homey atmosphere, friendly-caring staff. Cost is average to several other facilities in the area.

Very positive! It's a friendly place and well run. Highly recommended! We picked this community because of the affordability.

Sometimes, the maid skimps on cleaning the shower. Many times, eggs, bacon, sausage, or Canadian bacon not included for breakfast. Only protein served is yogurt. There were supposed to be movie nights once a week, but that hasn't happened. The shuttle won't take [name removed] to the nearby Gold's Gym. The shuttle isn't always working. We feel it's a good value for the cost, but we still don't like the fact that breakfast served there is not that nutritious or good for residents with blood sugar problems. [name removed] has a medicine that affects her blood sugar. The breakfast there has too many carbs. On the positive side, we got my friend [name removed] to move to New Forest Haven in [date removed]. He likes it and has another friend there [name removed] who also moved there recently. Yes, We recommended New Forest Haven to [name removed], and he moved there. His friend [name removed] heard about [name removed] recommendation, and she moved there.

They are very good with the residents and are very understanding. They treat the residents with respect and are very caring. They could also make some improvements on the food.

My mom's overall experience at New Forest Haven Assisted Living has been good. [Name removed] is an outstanding and caring Director. The CNAs and other staff are good to great. I have found the Assisted Living building to be well cared for, comfortable and clean. Everyone has been welcoming and friendly. The food is just okay, but I think New Forest Haven is aware of this. My mom's studio apartment is nice and the level of care has been refreshing. New Forest worked to create a plan that was affordable.

This really is a great place for my mom. Things happened very abrubtly in her situation and Provident helped us tremendously in our time of need. Staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. Facility is large yet private, very open and clean. Highly recommended

There has been quite a turnover of staff but that can be expected from the sale of the facility right before our move. And in the process there has been updating and remodeling of the facility. They are still in the process and the main areas are nice. Apartment size is bigger than other studios. The apartments themselves have not been updated this time yet. Amenities are getting better. Pool, family room, they added a new area in the dinning room for happy hour/gatherings.

My loved one has been a resident of Provident Assisted Living for over a year. [Name Removed], the director, works very hard to make sure resident’s needs are met and that the facility is run “by the book”. While there is some turnover, most of the staff have worked there together since before we moved in and are like extended family. Kat, the activities director, goes above and beyond to plan special events for residents in addition to regular weekly games and crafts. The smaller size, slower pace and quiet surroundings suit my loved one’s and our family’s needs very well.
