I would recommend the facility because of the staff, the cleanliness and the homey quality. We loved being able to sit outside in the shaded garden. The food was pretty basic, but they tried to meet my mother's needs for easy to chew foods. The activities at the time we were using the facility was not enough. There may have been changes since. They had someone before we were there that was much better, had "manicure Mondays" and "gardening Tuesdays". I was able to spend a lot of time at the house and augmented this as much as I could.

[name removed] passed away in [date removed] after only a couple of months at Haven Care Evergreen. But they were wonderful for the short time she was there. This is the closest to one on one care there is. The manager at Evergreen, [name removed], kept my mother in the same room with her all day as Mother was having trouble adjusting.

Everyone we have met with Haven Care has been lovely, and the staff at Evergreen are amazing. We feel totally confident that Mom is safe, well looked-after, and has everything she needs. We are so relieved to know she is in such good hands.

Staff is very kind and caring. They have made sure our mother was well cared for, just as we would care for her. They communicate with us daily and would communicate as much or as little as we request. They let us set the standard, which is really great. We have had a really great experience and are so thankful for them.

It's clean, has a nice open floor plan, and the staff/resident ratio is good. Very secure and in a good neighborhood. I would recommend this facility to others looking for memory care.

Warm, clean, home like environment. Staff was very kind. I was always welcome. Pretty garden area. Good location. Very simple food menu, but residents seemed happy with it. Responsive to my queries and suggestions. They were very kind throughout my family's time there.

We loved them so much - they are wonderful people. The staff gives so much one on one care to the residents here. They went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend Haven Care-Evergreen to other families.

There is nothing bad I can say about Haven Care. My Mother is living at another of their houses - they are both fantastic. We were fortunate to find them and be able to place my mom. They are indeed specialists in memory care and handle everything with skill and caring. Everyone who visits my mom is overwhelmed with the house, which is beautiful, and the care she receives. No one thought she would make the transition, but she is doing well. There is a seamless communication between the doctor, caregivers, managers and family to solve problems. They keep the residents involved and redirected in a controlled environment. We are blessed and grateful.

They were full. I would have liked to get my mom in here, though. The staff was all trained to work with all of the behavioral and physical and challenges of Alzheimer's. Also, there was no price change. It was $5100, but it will never increase no matter how much care you need.

Residents are very happy and alert. Good feel to facilities. Homes are very clean and pleasant with nice outdoor spaces. Attention given to every detail from lawn to inside. Family provides room furnishings. Services - Assistance with Medications and Personal Care - Care Plans designed for each resident - RN on Staff - Staff Ratio 1:5 - Planned Daily activities - Licensed massage therapist every other week - Licensed Hairdresser every 6 weeks comes to residences (met Rose Gabaldon - highly recommended by fellow Sandians).

The staff is friendly and works to become more like family than just a care taker. Facility was kept clean for the most part. However, if your love ones are bit on the social side and still mobile, implementing more activities outside the home is more beneficial to their health. Having to rely on family to always come is very hard when they may have a tight schedule themselves.

As the caregiver for [name removed], I thought the property could have used some updating - painting and such, and they are short on activities. However the cleanliness of the community is good.

My mother is currently a resident at Haven Care Birch House. The staff is a mix, three of the providers are terrific and one is very non caring. The Activities are the only thing that I would rate lower than a 4. The residents do sit and watch TV a lot.

pros - small pleasant home environment with very small staff cons - would have to move if needing 2 person assist, staff works multi-day shifts and may not be awake at night, no pets. Very nice residential environment home has 3 staff - 2-1/2 day shifts team leader (Misty been there 9 yrs). Work w/ hospice, can't handle 2 person assists, can handle oxygen and wheelchairs; bring your own furniture. Usually full but not long waiting list

The caregivers at Haven care fir house were wonderful. They cared for my dad like their own. But the bookkeeping part of the short time he was there was a nightmare. The double charged us the down payment. They sent us a link to pay online and then drafted our account also.they took a couple of weeks to refund us for that. The prorated amount for the first month was drafted more than what was on the contract. Our dad passed away on the [removed] of the month and we removed all his belongings by the [removed] and they took until the following month to give us a prorated refund and still shorted us [removed]. You couldn’t get a hold of anyone in accounting to discuss. I still haven’t received an invoice or receipt for the amount he paid. This is important for tax purposes. I think they are having financial problems and it shows. Too bad the care was worth the headache because they were there for my dad and kept him comfortable at the end.

If you love someone, do not trust this place. The owners are only in this business for the money. Our loved one experienced several broken bones on different occasions here. The staff never acknowledged any falls or incidents. Other, more serious incidents also occurred there. Removed our loved one from this facility for their safety.

My mother was at one of their homes for 2 months. During that time my mother was spoken to very harshly. My mother had numerous falls, significant bruising and injuries. My mother deterioratd rapidly as a result. After removing my mother I learned that another resident had been removed from that home because of concerns about the same care taker. My concerns were brought to HC leadership but to no avail. As for COVID, they have no process or procedure in place to notify families when covid is active in the house. You can go into the house, no one says a word and consequently you are xposed without knowing it. I am immunocompromised, as a result of no notification, I got covid and probably endangered others until I became ill and knew to quarantine. I was sick for 3 weeks.
