The facility is clean, the food is good and staff is very nice, but as far as being interactive with the residents, I think they could do more. They do have certain things that they provide such as bingo and exercise classes, but there are a lot of residents who just sit around. The staff could do better at encouraging them to participate.

Came to Savannah Court did a tour a few months ago. Sissy was the nurse that did our tour she was amazing and made us feel 100% comfortable with moving my father there come to find out she was the only reason I chose the community and she is no longer there so we have found other living arrangements.

The rooms at Savannah Court are decent and adequate, we also think the food is adequate as well. However we would not recommend this community to others because of the poor value, it is very expensive.

When I first toured this facility it looked very nice and very clean. However, because of the hurricane it has an odor. It could definitely improve again because before the hurricane it was nice. But because of the possible mildew, it was questionable. The staff was very friendly and is ready to answer any questions that you may have. If they don’t know the answer they will find someone who does know.

We toured The Club at Lake Wales, we were not pleased with it at all. It was run down, there was only a very small amount of employees there. They didn't seem to want to give us a tour, even though we had made an appointment.

Funny how there is a bunch of anonymous reviews… which I’m sure are written by Administrator!! This ALF is poorly run by inexperienced Administrator. They accept anyone and it’s turning into a facility with a bunch of psyche patients. We don’t feel it is a safe environment as they have so many young males living there. Patients should be age appropriate to live with elderly women. Places smells like urine and very dirty.

I looked at a lot of different places and felt this was the best place for her. That was not the case, she ended up going into the hospital a couple days after being here and they did not call me to tell me. The experience for us was not good at all. The facility itself was beautiful and comfortable. I would recommend this facility to others as long as your loved one does not have late stage dementia.

Our mother needed assistance in daily living so we decided to check out SC giving up her home of 20 plus yrs wasn't an easy decision. The facility person for lack of a better word she wasn't the administrator but took care of admitting was so kind and friendly and reassuring that our mother would never have to worry about leaving this would be her forever home , mother was feeling very unsure and insecure having to leave her home . I was trying so hard to make this transition as perfect as possible . Mom moved in and was actually adjusting and starting to get comfortable, Long story short after only 3 months something changed ! The administration said she'd have to move out to another facility farther away or share a room , my mother had never shared a room in her adult life and the sister facility I'd heard wasn't so nice . This was not what we'd agreed plus the cost was shooting up by 600 a month they suggested we pay or have a church pay !!!! No way could we pay this ! I was so upset my mother was distraught along with her physical illnesses just seem to compound it all !!! I was livid ! Who wouldn't have been. That's not all !!!! I get a call from my sister that this [Removed] had called and said all was good mom could stay at the rate we first agreed !!! They'd worked it out !!! So I paid the next months rent !!! Well just a few days later I received a letter saying no go !!!!( they wanted the rent ) I had to find another assisted living i did in Winterhaven, it was nice and the closest they were great However my mother never was comfortable she always had it in her mind she'd be asked to move at any given moment. It breaks my heart to look back on this ordeal !!!! I recieved an apology via fb messenger stating she knew SC was wrong in how they treated our mothers situation but she had to do what they said to do . I've never once received a letter from corporate. The day after I had words with the administrator I go in the office and they are all in shredding papers ! What was done to my mother was horrible and every time I see an article on how wonderful they are I cringe !!!!!!! And it takes me back !!!!! Had they been honest from the start things would have been different. This [Removed] person happened to have a mutual friend that stops by my sisters home , she tells my sister if you knew who I was you'd not let me in your house my sister wasn't familiar with her in person so she blew it off . I'll end this review with if I could do this all over again I'd never have darted in your doors and allowed my sweet mother to be put through that ordeal! I don't have mother anymore so all I can hope is this will help someone else who's trying to find assisted living they can count on ! This is all true not one untrue statement! What a nightmare!!!!

Poor, needs an update for sure.

We took a tour and we did not like this place from the moment we stepped in. the residents were sitting in wheel chairs and looked like they were dead. The people did not do a good job with explaining things. This just was not the place.

The worst place to leave family or friends. The staff is lazy and unfriendly. The manager [Removed] is a liar. The food is terrible. The residents get bed bugs on a regular basis. There are no activities or outings for them to look forward to. There are many places to place loved ones and this is not one of them. [Removed] is sneaky and goes into residents rooms when they are not there and looks through their things. No privacy and nobody cleans. The laundry never comes back to you.... so plan on losing a lot of clothes. The state of Florida needs to look into this place.

Terrible terrible place they do not have good activities compared to a lot of other assisted living facilities. The residents are not bathed properly and many of them have bed bugs and roaches in their room. On my visit there I talked with a worker and she was looking for a new job because the place and management is so terrible. She also said Marcy is not as nice as she seems and that she acts like she knows everything when all she does is make up lies to make herself look good which I believe because I asked her a question (I already knew the answer to) just to see what she would say and she answered it WRONG. I wanted to move my father there but after finding out that information I will do anything to keep her far away from there ! I encourage everyone who was love ones living there to set up a mini camera in their love one room to see what really goes on

They don't have enough staff on the weekends. My loved one was able to leave the community and this wasn't a secure community, and thought it was going to be. I used to have to do my loved one's laundry. There were no activities on the weekends. I would never recommend the community to anyone.

I move my dad into Savannah Court from another facility so he would be closer to me. At first they were very courteous and gave me a tour and insured me that Dad would be satisfied in their facility. The first day he was there they Baker acted him. All due to a mess up with his medication. When I brought him back, I thought he would do well. They ran out of one of his medications and he was not able to get it for a whole week. I was very upset. He needed his medicine. My dad having dementia refuse to shower which is common with people in this condition, he would only shower when I would go visit. I don't believe the staff there knows how to interact with people with dementia. I noticed dad getting depressed, I would go visit him in the afternoon and he would be in bed. Dad never slept during the day. I also noticed him losing weight. I had dinner with my dad once they were serving ham sandwiches and potato chips. And a really serious issue was his room. It was disgusting the toilet actually had mold in it because it hadn't been cleaned in so long. I've had to clean his room myself. So I told them I was giving them a 30 day notice that I was moving my dad they beg me to give them 2 weeks to correct the issues. Well the issues never were corrected so I finally did move my dad. They rarely had any activities. Dad always complained about being bored and not having anything to do but walk the halls There's a very nice assisted living facility in Winter Haven. Dad has gained weight. And he is a lot more content and happy. So enclosing, please do not attempt to place your loved ones in this facility. They have been inspected by DCF, Elderly Care, and the agency for the state of Florida that inspects all facilities. I have heard from one agency that pad negative inspections. And the other inspections are ongoing.
