The physical and occupational therapy was good. My mom complained a lot about the staff. He had issues with his medication. Their meal planning was a little chaotic. I think they are spread a little too thin to help with his needs. The meals that were provided and the amount of food was fine. They were good at communication and I got calls all of the time.

They've all been nice. The nursing care is good for the number of people they have, but they don't have enough staff. They need more staff for her condition. My loved one needs a lot more care than they're able to give. The meals are actually pretty good. One day they had trouble getting the right menus to the right patients because that staff that day was new and didn't know anyone. I left my cell phone number for them to call me at and they still call the house number. It took them a while to get her information set up.

The facility was nice and my mother had a private room. It seemed like they have activities for the elderly and I liked that. According to my sister, she said their rehab therapy was good. Most of them were pretty nice to her and helpful. I would have to go find someone to help after ringing the call bell. She did not care for the food. I know they have to cook food without salt and sugar and I understand that.

It's a very nice facility. It's very clean. The check-in process should have collected our phone numbers to confirm. We had poor communication as they didn't have our correct phone number.

Overall, I think Phoebe is a good organization. We had some issues with my mother in law being there but there have been some good things too. We got some information from her but we're not sure if it's accurate or not. A couple of shift nurses we have talked to were really good. They knew their stuff, and they took the time to explain things to us. When we talk to the staff they're very positive, very upbeat, and they want to do the right thing. My wife calls down there and has gotten to know some of the staff and they're always helpful. They all seem to be well trained but Phoebe seems understaffed and overworked. She rings for help and the nurses can't get to her right away.

I have a number of church friends who come here and it's all been good with them. I have a close friend who lived there a number of years ago and I feel that he was taken advantage of so I'm biased because of that. Everyone has been pleasant to me. There was one young lady who is part of the housekeeping team who was really nice and talked to me about movies and such. The people in the dining room are nice and they remembered my mom from when she was there some time ago. Her caseworker, reached out right away and we spoke for a few minutes yesterday. She reviewed with me what's going on, she listened to me about my concerns about what my mom was telling me and let me know what was actually happening. She extended the invitation to always call her if I need anything or have any questions.

The communication is very good and the staff contacts me quite often, to let me know what's going on with my loved one's care. The therapy services are getting a lot better and the doctor who is on call there is outstanding. They're quite friendly but there isn't enough staff there. Some of the nurses are okay, but others have no clue at all. I felt like they did not know what they were talking about when they were handing her medications. We had to go out and get the surgeon to tell them the correct medications and now she finally is getting all the right medications. The cleanliness needs a lot of improvement. I lay a piece of paper towel on the floor when she first got there and finally picked it up myself yesterday because I just couldn't stand it anymore. I feel that the company doesn't seem to want to hire enough people to handle all the residents they're taking on. During the day it should be mandatory to have two or three on staff and at night especially you need to have two.

The care was good but there was no communication about my loved one.

The facility is kept very clean. My loved one does not like the meals at all. That is something he has mentioned for sure. The other day he told me they had spaghetti and meatballs and it was not good.

Everything was good.

Some of the therapists are spectacular and others are not. Most of them are pretty friendly. The meals have been very good. My loved one has a problem with the response times of the help.

When I dealt with the RN, or whoever does the meds, she was very helpful. Everybody, the social worker, everyone who called me, they were on top of it. The only thing is that there's no place to park, it's ridiculous that I have to walk.

The staff is great, but I’m concerned my loved one isn’t getting any therapy at all.

From what my loved one has said, the therapy is excellent and the people are super. The day staff is exemplary. They are more than helpful to do anything. It is very clean. She has been eating what they give her and they have been accommodating. In the day time, some of the nurses are angels and willing to do anything for her. The night staff were keeping everyone up by talking loudly and laughing in the halls and keeping everyone up. It has been quieter since after someone complained.

I'd recommend Phoebe Allentown Health Care Center! My loved one has enjoyed the meals too.

From what I can see the PT and OT are doing better than the Speech therapy. They are doing good for the most part. It is questionable as to whether or not I would recommend them at this point. Communication has been extremely poor throughout our visit. The admissions staff and pretty much everybody so far has had poor communication.

They seem considerate. We are pretty satisfied. They are attentive to him. In this part of town they have a good reputation. Getting through to each other as far can be difficult, as far as the times for physical therapy goes.

The PT, OT and ST are five star. One of the girls was excellent. The therapy was excellent but the call bells were put on and you had to wait and wait for help. The staff were good and were all nice. The nurses were good but sometimes you had to wait. I ate there too and the meals were good and hot.

They are good with communication. Some of the nurses and the doctors are good at explaining stuff. They are more caring and patient. The doctor does well and his assistant does well. 80 percent of the regular nurses are good. There is a problem with the nurses' aides. Some are not very patient with her but some are patient. There a couple of people who are very nice to her. There are a lot of problems. They take a while to get to her sometimes.

Her room is so confining. She has been living in an Assisted living facility and the care there seems the same. I've observed one therapy session and it was very good. One of the nurses was very good and does a nice job. Everything seems cleaned. The dining area seem pretty good. At all of these facilities you have to ask for information, but I got a call today to let me know about her updates.
