My 95 year old mother moved into the Bristal In West Babylon a few months ago, relocating from years of living in Florida. This was a big adjustment for her and we were hoping she would acclimate well to her new environment, assisted living vs. independent living. The apartment is lovely and the people who work there have made her move a truly great experience. The activities are diversified, keep her busy (even more than she ever was in Florida). My mother continuously says how wonderful all the staff is. They are extremely helpful, caring and know everyone's names. She enjoys the food, the socials and the outside trips they have. The Bristal always welcomes family to visit which is a wonderful plus. We are glad we moved her here.

It was a difficult decision but the best thing I have done for my mom. I really feel in the 3 months she has been there her quality of life has improved immensely. She has a social life doing arts and crafts, exercises, playing cards trips to the stores. Just everyday interaction with people her age. And the staff is so friendly and caring.

My mom went to assisted living care kicking and screaming. The staff was great with getting her involved with activities and making her feel welcome. It's been three months and she is very happy living there. She loves the food, keeps telling me how nice the people are there and enjoys the activities.

Beautiful, clean facility and jam packed with activities. For the most part, staff is very friendly and attentive. Food quality is very good.

Just moved my Mom into the Bristal, East Northport the other day. The facility is beautiful, like an upscale hotel with all the amenities. Although it's really too early to evaluate my mom’s stay I was very impressed by the Staff. Paul and Bonnie, the administers, were very helpful and provided support and were very kind and understanding throughout the enrollment process. [Name removed] and [name removed] were very nice and helped a lot during my mom's first couple of days. The facility aside, the real reason we selected the Bristal can be summed up in one word "[name removed]" [name removed] is the Recreational Director, she is "WONDERFUL" She met my family & I to give us a tour of the facility. Normally, this is not her function at the Bristal, but, because I called only hours before we wanted to see the facility, we were accommodated and [name removed] and [name removed] had previous commitments. [Name removed] welcomed us with open arms. She has so much passion and love for the residents. This was immediately apparent as she walked us through the Bristal and was met with hugs and kisses from the residents. As she explained,” this is my family” and she really loves her job. The activities and events that she has implemented are both inventive and well thought out. The day we moved my mom was on Halloween. [Name removed] was dressed as Tinker Bell and Grand Marshaled a Halloween parade with the most adorable children from one of the local schools. The Residents loved it. This was followed by activities throughout the day including, entertainment, live music, and mummy wrapping in the gathering room. In my opinion, [name removed] is the show case for the Bristal. There was a wait list to get my mom into the Bristal, East Northport. This was not the case for surrounding Bristal’s on Long Island or other assisted living facilities. Other assisted livings communities are just as ascetically pleasing and have the same type of accommodations. So why a wait list for the East Northport Bristal. I can only surmise it’s because of “[name removed]”, her resident activities and the love she brings to the Bristal, East Northport. Good Job Bristal

My mom has been living at the Bristal in North Woodmere for over a year and still says "Home Sweet Home" when returning from an outing. Nothing could be more comforting than seeing her in a happy and safe environment. Working with [Name removed] made mom's move a smooth and stress free transition for the whole family. [Name removed] works very diligently to make sure everything is taken care of. I especially love how the whole staff greats my mom by name and everyone is very in tune to her needs. I highly recommend the Bristal at North Woodmere.

My mother recently moved into the Bristal after close to thirty years of living on her own. The staff has been welcoming and worked hard to ease her transition. Her apartment is spacious and certainly feels like home. The facility is bright, colorful, and cheerful. After searching extensively throughout the area, we knew this was the right place for her. We are pleased with her decision to begin the next phase of her life.

My mother was in their Reflections unit. The entire staff was loving and caring. They always treated her and the family with the utmost respect.

Beautiful amazing building, grounds and rooms. 1 bedroom has living room, bedroom and kitchenette. nice activities. I came in at tail end of a great reggae band playing. Individuals were greeting my tour guide(not the other way around as if for show). One individual thanked her for reggae band, stating it reminded him of the times he visited Haiti with his wife. Expensive, 2000 more a month than other places without elevated care, but I guess you get what you pay for. Mom will visit, but will probably be out of her price range.

I found the place was attractive. I spoke to some residents and all were happy living there. The tour of the place was thorough and all questions were answered. I left a deposit.

I have only wonderful things to say about The Bristal in Armonk. My elderly mom was a resident there until her recent peaceful passing. Amazing staff throughout. One thing that stands out at The Bristal compared to other senior facilities we've used for our parents, is the excellent medical care provided by the Wellness department. Having an on-site nurse all the time was just so reassuring; it also came in handy at times when mom became ill. Senior leadership are available and helpful, and stay on top of all activities, meals, cleanliness, etc. Highly recommended!

We moved my mom to The Bristal in Armonk a year ago. She really didn’t want to leave her home and friends of the past 30 years. Much to her surprise, as well as ours, she enjoyed being at The Bristal from day one. She meet some amazing new friends, found the staff to be attentive and caring. She really enjoyed the food and the ambience. The special events and activities , especially around holidays made The Bristal feel like home.

Tour was great, beautiful facility. [Name removed] was very informative and a pleasure to deal with.

Our family is pleased with the care and accommodations my dad receives at Bristal-Sayville. It's a difficult decision and he was initially adamant about not leaving his house. Once he experienced the attention and beauty of Bristal it all changed. He's not only happier but his health is improving too. We placed our soon to be 99 year old mom in this facility last week. She is very scared and has panic attacks. The staff and the residence were so loving and welcoming she immediately felt at home. A woman that would NEVER leave her home feels safe and accepted. The staff truly bends over backwards to make sure everyone is doing well. The food is comparable to good restaurant and plentiful. They keep the patients engaged in any and all activities. I have not seen my mom smile and converse so much in many years. Thank you all for making us, the family feel so secure and at peace, knowing how well kept our mom is now.

WE CAN'T IMAGINE A BETTER ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY! My wife and I were immediately impressed with the immaculate and top quality appearance of The Bristal at West Babylon. Then we looked at all the activities; there was something for everyone, continuously all day long, 7 days a week. Residents came up to us as we initially toured the facility and every time we visited our mom. They told us how happy they are and what a wonderful place the Bristal is. They took our mom under their wing and encouraged her to join them in the activities. Our mom had very limited speech ability but she told us "I like the people." The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and professionally competent. We never heard anyone grumble or complain; they went above and beyond to make our mom happy and comfortable. They took pride in their jobs and obviously enjoyed working there. The managers were PHENOMENAL! [name removed] and [name removed] did a great job of introducing us to the Bristal, guiding us through the application process and getting our mom settled in. [name removed] and [name removed] were outstanding in helping us through an extremely stressful time when our mom's health rapidly declined. They really made us feel that we were part of the Bristal family. When we had to move our mom to the hospital, [name removed] epitomized the warm, caring atmosphere that is what makes the Bristal so great! On departure, she told us that if either my wife or I ever needed to talk, she was there for us. I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to give credit to the wonderful people at the Bristal. [name removed], I spoke to [name removed] from the bristol. She sent one of nurse to evaluate my cousins. Due to her health issues the bristol cannot accomidate her needs. [name removed]

My folks (both in their 90's) moved into The Bristal at White Plains over three years ago. Although there was an initial adjustment of a few weeks, in relatively little time, both [Name removed] began to feel comfortable and "at home". The most compelling reason for their quick and easy acceptance of "assisted living life" was because the entire staff is so completely accepting, warm and welcoming. From day #1, both my parents were attended to by front desk staff, medication managers, dining staff, maintenance crew, housekeeping staff, activities personnel, and even the Executive Director, Director of Wellness, & Guest Services Director, who all go above and beyond the call of duty everyday. The Bristal facility itself is kept immaculate daily by a hard-working crew; my parents' apartment is cleaned daily, shampooed regularly, and generally well-maintained. They both enjoy a full range of activities (bingo, movies, great parties, entertainment, special holiday lunches, trips, etc.) all in their private Bristal limousine or bus and at the Bistro. We are truly thankful for the friendship, safety, and security that the Bristal provides my folks every single day. Special thanks to [Name removed] et al.
