This place really impressed me during my tour, 5s across the board for everything I saw. At the time we were looking for options they had no availability, but it was definitely somewhere we were considering!

This is where my grandmother is now. We love it! It's a great facility, it's sparkling clean, and the staff is wonderful. The food is great and the activities are great, especially the exercise classes. It's just been really great for my grandmother. I give them thumbs up all the way around. There is really no down side. We actually think it's significantly better than we thought a facility like this would be. So we're all thumbs up! We love it!

I like all the things above. It's clean, it's bright and happy, it has got great food, it has got great service. The apartments are nice and everyone was extremely friendly and helpful as far as the move in and everything. It's been a really positive experience all the way around.

What I like about it when you go there, the people that live there are smiling so you know they're happy and cared for. They have resident meetings for them to decide what they like and don't like and then the place makes it happen and I think that's fantastic. The residents run the library and the activities. Any ideas they have the place works with them. My father thinks it's tremendous - like a carinval cruise on land! It's not a feeling like it's the end. It's retirement community so it doesn't feel like a hospital. They have a golf course and spa. It's very nice for activities. It has cement block walls in between each apartment so the noise factor of someone who is hard of hearing and trying to watch tv or something is accommodated for. The balconies are huge so you can actually enjoy them.

This place has been wonderful to my parents. EVERYONE including the director have been extremely helpful & friendly. All the employees treat the residents there as family. This was a extremely difficult move & they made it as comfortable as it can be. The residents there are very friendly as well and many have been there for many years. The rooms are large & the deluxe one bedroom is the largest living area we found. I visit frequently & have gotten to know the staff as well as residents. They have many activities & very nice grounds. I really can't say enough about Eskaton Monroe Lodge, they have been a Godsend.

Loved this place. Only studios available. One bedroom is the ideal, but waiting list of at least a year.

Loved this facility; however; price does have to be considered and the price here was too steep.

Great location, beautiful facility.

We loved this facility. It is very comparable to Aegis. I thought it was a great fit for my parents. Such an open, spacious and happy environment. It has lots of potential for my parents. I like the pricing structure of the Parkview as it was easy to understand. Right now it is on the top of my list.

Loved everything. I need to take my parents there for a lunch so they can view the homes and try the cuisine and see if they like it.

my husband's father moved to Eskaton a couple of weeks ago. We are very pleased with his care and the attentiveness and helpfulness of all the staff. His room is kept very clean, his appearance and clothing are clean and he seems happy. It has been a huge adjustment for him, having lived with us for quite awhile and they have made it a priority to make him feel welcomed and at home.

The best thing about Eskaton Monroe Lodge is the friendliness of the people that work there. My dad talks about this all the time and we experience their warmth when we go and visit him. The dining rooms are beautifully decorated and the wait staff is extremely friendly. Rooms are quiet and being in a tall building gives you a feeling of connectedness to the out side world as you look out the many windows.

My mom's overall experience, since moving in, has been going well. I believe it is a good community for her. It's a pretty good place. They are providing good meals with activities to stay busy. It is also a clean place with very good staff.

This is my third experience with a family member being at Eskaton and they are a very friendly staff. The nurse is wonderful who is taking extra care of my mother-in-law, she is just wonderful. I just cannot ask for any more cooperation. It's been a wonderful experience. The kitchen staff is very friendly.

My dad lived in the Memory Care facility and my mom currently lives in Independent Living in the Cottages. The whole property is spotless! The staff are so nice and attentive. The food is great! Lots of activities for all levels. The value is really good. Nice spacious living, restaurant-style meals, beautiful surroundings. I would recommend this facility to anyone who wants to live in the El Dorado County area!

My mother was in the independent living there, Silver Oaks. There were times that she complained about the food but they had a menu that they were catering to a lot more people and it was workable. She was there for 10 years. It's a nice place. We liked that the facility itself is lovely, her personal apartment was fantastic, the staff is great. They were very accommodating. As my mother started to decline they really tried to facilitate her needs. They really worked well with me which I appreciated.

They were really good. It was very clean. I'm not sure what the final bill came out too becuase my father is the one paying. From what I remember, we felt that the cost was okay but on the high end of okay. My understanding is that they are happy with the level of care for my mom. Any issues that we've had have been more of a misunderstanding on my dad's part of what they are supposed to provide. My mom is in the assisted living and the caregivers show up every coupde of hours which is what they're supposed to do but my dad thought they were coming around too much. The food was okay - it was better than the nursing home food she had. Overall I would recommend it. They were always respectful and treated my mother very well.

Our family had an in person tur with Eskaton Gold River and out of all three communities we toured, we liked this community the most. Unfortunately, it was just too far from my home

We would recommend Eskaton based on overall quality of care and relative value compared to alternatives. Relative good "bang for the buck".

It has been a difficult time during COVID, but overall we have had a positive experience. The community itself seems to be fairly clean. It is not cheap but it seems worth wile. The activities are very limited due to COVID.
