It is a nice community. Everyone is kind, friendly, and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was when they had power outages they didn't notify family and as a result my father had a fall and was alone in the dark,. The food was good. The services were good there. It's a clean and nice place.

Very convenient and close to our house. Room was like a large dorm room but had a nice patio. Residence say they like the food. Also, [name removed] can bring their own furniture, (has to bring their own as it is not furnished.) Laundry every week but room clean every 2 weeks. Smaller and older facility, Memory care was depressing. One of the least expensive but prices were more than advertised by $700. Yikes!

Would be great but a little pricey.

Had difficulty finding parking. When we arrived, they said they were not expecting us and [Removed] was not available so her assistant gave us the tour. Property has only 6 two BR units, none available, a long waiting list for them with little turnover. Saw 1 BR unit, the kitchenette was just inside front door of unit, was the tiniest we have seen anywhere, is called a "tea kitchen" and basically fridge was a tiny minibar type like you'd find in a hotel. Living room was small, but the closet in it had been nicely converted to an office space with desk and shelves. Bedroom was ok size for mom's bed and furniture. Bathroom was nice, liked there were two different accesses to it. Lots of closet space. Patio units $300 extra/mo. Dining area seemed ok, tables very separated which made it feel sort of lonely. Food was very good, all day a la carte menu, specials avail first two hours of meal times. Receptionist seemed stressed with juggling tasks when we arrived, had two other people she had to respond to plus a phone call but was friendly to us. No individual mailboxes seen. Since it is also assisted living facility also, it was noticeable the range of differences in the residents. One resident was just sitting in hallway in his wheelchair, and one lady in the room with the fireplace was asleep with her head hanging all the way backward. Saw same lady later at lunch at a table with other residents but was still asleep with her head all the way back. Saw other residents participating in activities. Mom liked raised bed gardening area. Overall, fairly nice place but miniature kitchen and small living room was a deal breaker. Since there is so much demand for two bedroom units, Eskaton should build properties with more of them and also include decent kitchens in all their independent living units.

This community is really living up to the expectations we had for them. What they told us they offered is exactly that no more and no less. This community was integrity and is truthful. My friend is doing very well here we are extremely pleased. He is enjoying the food very much. He has been out a couple of times doing some of the excursions he enjoys having people around him all the time. He has maid service that comes in once a week and cleans. I have not an unfavorable thing to say about this community.

This was one of my favorite communities that my family and I had looked at for my mother to go. They had a lot of great things to offer all of there residents and everything was nicely maintained and kept very clean. I would have wanted my mother to go here she just wanted more of a residential living then an assisted living.

Liked the Cottages very much. Pool is an incentive, & also the dog park..The price for one bedroom, & den, is right at the top of my budget. This will stay on my list of possibilities.

It is wonderful here and I like how nice it is. The meals are good and tasty. The community is not dirt, always kept clean. I went to the casino once for an outing. This is a good place but not for me.

The experience has been very positive from the moment we initiated contact with Eskaton Village. The staff have been great and Mom really likes the food! I greatly appreciate A Place For Mom for helping me find such a great place for my mother. Sue [last name removed] was amazing and followed through with finding a perfect fit for my mother! I am very happy over all!

As far as areas for improvement: They did not explain the laundry service very well at first, and it is certainly not cheap. Other than that the experience with Eskaton Lodge Cameron Park has been a positive one. Really nice place with very friendly helpful staff.

She's been more active now than she's been in years. The food is good, she doesn't miss meals. I liked the size of the rooms, and the amenities, having a pool onsite for water aerobics, was especially nice. It's gated. It's nice and open, and off the main track, not on a busy street or near a school with a lot of traffic. It's fifty acres, and they have all different levels of living, from memory care to independent cottages, they have a nice mix of people.

My mom has Alzheimer's so she's in the pre-memory care and the care is very good. When I finally had to put my mother in there is was all on very short notice and it happened to be over the same weekend that I was getting married. Their staff was so good about taking care of everything for me. Their goal was to get my mother in and get everything taken care of and get me on my honeymoon. They were fantastic! The only single complaint I have with them is their onsite nursing staff doesn't communicate very well from shift to shift. It's taking some time to work through that but I finally sat down with the director to talk about it and it has gotten much better. They are very good. One of things they did for me was got my mom into a furnished room right away until I could pick up all of her furniture and bring it down. Then they pulled everything out of the room and put her stuff in on the same day so she could stay in the same room and not have to reorient herself to where the dining room is and where all the activities are. They were really really good about that.

I don't know if this is the best fit for Maxine, the person I am placing. I didn't realize that it's really more of a non-medical facility. It's more for daily living issues and she needs more hands on nursing care. I think for what Maxine needs, the care is probably around a 2. I think they're stretching it to allow someone like her in. She had dementia which I know they're used to dealing with but she also has diabetes on a sliding scale and she's falling. There's just not enough staff to monitor her the way she needs to be monitored.

Loved the environment. everyone active. small one bedroom OK. kitchen great. large apartment fantastic but over budget and kitchen not good. only one meal. location just OK. facility is excellent. has cement walls between apartments.

Nice place. Big. Positive feedback from the residents and staff. Staff seems to know residents pretty well.

Very nice facility. At the higher end of the pricing. They have nurses on staff and can do injections

Still need price sheet. Very nice. NO pets.

It seems as in most facilities there is a problem with staffing. Since Mom is in Memory Care it is important to have a consistent, patient, caring staff. The staff is supplemented by another local care agency and staff changes frequently. Memory Care residents have a variety of challenges and unless a permanent staff is established that know the individuals, care can suffer. Those employees who are consistently on duty are wonderful, however, all to often they are short staffed.

The staff is very caring and attentive. They are working on improving the food. Rent went up over $200 for 2019. It is very clean and lots of activities. Wonderful parties over the top.

The staff are very kind and helpful, however i do have to say they don't seem to communicate very well with each other. It seems a little disorganized and you do have to be very proactive. Other than that, my dad is very happy.
