Highly recommend

What stuck out most about The Landings at Norcross was the bright and airy look to it. It is a friendly and warm atmosphere when you walk in. The staff at the front desk was very welcoming and the marketing director as well. The environment is not only meant to look warm and inviting but it does not look institutional in anyway. The food menu is pretty high in carbohydrates and we have spoken to the director about it - we understand that it can be difficult. I would recommend them to others looking.

Superb, professional, and genuinely kind care

There is no way I can say enough nice things about the folks at Bentley. The facility is lovely, but it is the staff that make Bentley the unique place it is. They are professional, experienced, and (best of all) genuinely kind. My 92-year-old mother lived ther during the last year of her life (she moved from a very new, very expensive, and pretty atrocious facility just outside of Athens where she most decidedly was not thriving), and the care she received in Bentley's Memory Care wing was absolutely first-rate. This summer she went into hospice and passed away at Bentley, and then too the whole staff and administration made a wrenching time far less difficult than it would have been had it not been for the staff's and administration's professionalism as well as their kindness and care. (Executive director [name removed] and Memory Care wing nurse [name removed], in particular, went *far* above and beyond what their jobs required; their compassion and generosity of spirit was truly humbling and overwhelming.) Suffice it to say that I recommend Bentley, with enthusiasm and deep gratitude, to anyone who loves their parents and wants them to receive exceptional care.

From a pleased family member

My mom has been a resident at Oxton Place for over a year now. She is very happy, never mentions going home and is always smiling when we are there - on an almost daily basis. We visit at different times of they day, see workers providing very sweet care giving services and seeing the ED there at any given time - after hours, weekends, etc. She was there all night with them during a recent weather/snow incident. She's dedicated to providing care to these residents and leaving the family members with a sense of relief. Maybe (some) of the negative comments on this page are from disgruntled employees or family members. Please know all the facts and look at the big picture before saying No to Oxton. It's been a God send to my family!

First I would like to say that the manager (sherry) goes over and above her job. She is the selling force to this place. She knows her stuff... With that being said, they're is only so much she and staff can do. The staff needs increasing. The old building needs lots of renovation.. It's apparent that upper management will not let them spend any money. The rooms are not freshly painted after move outs. I'm not even sure that the carpets are cleaned. I believe, when someone moves out, that is the time to upgrade the rooms. Several complaint on cleanliness of rooms. Mainly because understaffed. The residents seem lonely. Could be more actives for them. They need there minds stimulated on a daily basics. They need more staff on the floor interacting with the residents. The landscapeing need much work. Medication management seems really unorganized. I do have to give the kitchen staff does a great job on the food prep. I believe they need a couple of servers to keep tea glasses filled hand out extra items etc. Currently the girls that work the floor do this. For the price, I would think thing could be a lot better. Not only for the residents, but the staff. Thank you to the staff that works there, I see your daily struggles

FIVE STARS FOR MORNING-STARR!!

I think that they are doing the best with what they have – though short-staffed, the staff on hand are friendly, informative and helpful The manager has been helpful when there's been a financial issue. Recently Medicaid cancelled, Mom's check shorter, working out payment. That's important to have someone willing to work with you. It has overall been a positive experience

The reason for the 4s was due to Covid. They had a large turnover when the government (taxpayers) started paying people to stay home who were "afraid" to work in the health field. Prior to that, it was all 5s, but it was never quite the same after. They were short handed much of the time. The administration and office staff are super! Most of the CNAs love the residents and their jobs. My mom passed away in April, but I visited frequently while she was there. No matter what facility you choose, if you are a frequent visitor and get to know the staff, your loved one will get the best treatment.

Staff turnover

My loved one is a resident at Jackson Oaks Senior Living. There's been a big turnover in staff, so I rated all at a 4 instead of a 5 due to that. Otherwise, I have found the staff at this facility friendly and courteous.

A great place for Dad

It was an awesome place. Daddy was taken care of and he loved the staff. Sharon the administrator was awesome with the residents. Daddy loved her. And Ms [name removed] at the front desk was awesome. There was a problem once or twice with one of the staff but it was quickly taken care of. I was proud that my Daddy was there.

I would recommend taking a look at Jackson Oaks

We chose Jackson Oaks because of the community, when we visited we noticed that a group of people that we felt my mother would fit in with. I would recommend to others to check it out and see if its what your loved one is looking for.

Our tour experience

Our family had an in person tour and the community was nice but they had more studio sized apartments, and we thought that would be a difficult transition for our loved one moving out of a house into a studio apartment.

Open and inviting facility

My Mother-In-Law is very happy here. It’s a very open facility and it feels really inviting. All of the staff members that I have met are really nice and if my In-Law has a problem it is dealt with quickly. For activities, they offer things like bingo, parties, Wii bowling, church services, and live entertainment. I would recommend this facility to other families.

A tour for care

We toured this community for care. We liked the environment when we arrived. The staff director was not available at the time of the tour. The community was clean and the variety of the menu was appealing. They have nice activities for the residents. We would suggest families to this community to confirm the value of this community
