The staff is wonderful, very helpful and caring. LPN's are on top of the residents' health and care needs. Other residents have been welcoming. The meals are good, although service in the dining room is sometimes slow. Music played in dining room seems more suited to a younger crowd. Overall, I would recommend Oakmont of Burlingame to other families.

So far so good
The facility is very clean and all of the staff are extremely friendly. The apartment is very attractive and it is super nice. It has more of a homey feel and less hotel like. The location is very convenient for me and I can stop in and see them on my way back from work. They have 3 tiers of care so they are able to age in place.
It does not seem like they have many activities going on at the moment. I know covid has put a cramp in the schedule, but now that we are coming out of covid I would tell others to ask what activities they would have provided especially for those who have cognitive issues such as dementia and Alzheimer's.
Overall I would recommend Sunrise of Burlingame to others looking.

Exceptional staff!
My mother was a highly independent woman until about one year ago. She never wanted to leave her home. The staff at Sunrise of Burlingame are exceptional and she feels at home there and well cared for. The activities are engaging and enjoyable, and the staff is always upbeat, encouraging, and respectful. Further, all of the staff have been very responsive to questions, concerns, and feedback. It has been a very positive experience for our mother and us from day-1.

Caring and loving staff
I can't tell you how good and relieved I feel having my mom here. We were nervous about the move and how my mom would take it, but they knew exactly how to handle it and made her feel right at home. When I call her she's telling me about her day rather than complaining of aches and pains (which have mysteriously subsided now that she's around more people)...Hardworking care team, fun and lively leadership. No place is perfect, but you get through everything together like a true family.

I also want to thank [name removed]s leader[name removed] along with her lead and care team. She has built a fantastic team during a difficult time. Each has provided updates, shared funny stories, wonderful photos, hair braiding, daily coffee, and our 6:00 then 4:00 pm FaceTime! From all that to everything in between that you do to keep each resident safe and happy, thank YOU!

Happy Family!
There are simply not enough ways to thank [name removed], this incredible woman who gives care, guidance, and support to both families and staff in her facility. [name removed]and I have laughed, cried, and come up with some great ideas to bring love and light during a horrible time in history we call a pandemic.
Every day and on weekends, she goes above and beyond with her messages to put family members at ease. She opened the doors at Sunrise safely, and through her strict adherence these last two years, she kept the virus at bay. She put up with a lot and sailed through it with grace and understanding when others in our world, not so much. The light and love [name removed] brings to all do not go unnoticed by me, my mom, and our family. Thank you, [name removed], for always being there to welcome ideas, create a home, hire exceptional people, and ease a concerned daughter's mind!

Very friendly and warm staff team
We are very happy with our experience so far, they have been very accommodating to our family. The staff has been incredibly friendly and you can tell they really care about their clients. For our mother the activities that are offered are not mentally challenging enough or interesting, but they do offer quite a variety of activities.

We chose Sunrise of Burlingame because I liked the different levels of care that they offered. My mom has moved between assisted living over to memory care. The staff members have been really good about communication with everything going on and are always friendly and helpful. If I call up there they always know who I am. The room sizes here based on this area are good. We have had some issues with billing recently but overall I would recommend them.

Sunrise of Burlingame Working Fine For My Mother
I would tell people that my loved one is happy and it is a good choice for their loved one.
They have bus rides, tours, bridge, card games, visiting and other activities for the residents to choose from.
The food is good in my opinion.

This is a really nice place, very professional, and the staff seem to be on top of things. The rooms are private and very nice. Residents were having lunch and looked happy and content. I would have liked this for my family member but the location was a bit far from our family.

The Care is Adequate
In the short time of our experience, it appears the community is taking good care of my wife. It is quite expensive because she is in a luxury room. They have quite the staff there and she is getting good services from them. The staff help her with everything like eating, using the walker, and assisting with the bathroom. We have no complaints yet. It has been peaceful enough for her to take her naps.

A friendly place that knows each resident by name, even when visiting other floors.
A good variety of activities for the residents. A previous facility offered mostly shopping as an activity, which my sister who's a resident at Sunrise absolutely hates.
She loves the special off-site excursions like the one to Half Moon Bay that she recently went on.

A excellent community. The staff is wonderful and caring to my Uncle. The food could use alittle improvment in a little areas. A good place for the value, but hope to see the food get better. Activities were offered. Would recommend this community. Very happy with the service of A place for mom.

We placed our Uncle in Sunrise Burlingame, and are thus far very happy. The management and staff are first rate.
While the expense is high, the value seems to be there.

Nice facility
This seems to be a very nice facility. It is clean and well kept, or at least it has been when I have visited. The staff is professional and also very caring. The other residents here seem to be nice also.
