Silverado Senior Living

I had a pleasant tour of this community. The community looked very nice.

The tour I had was good, I saw the residents doing activities and their caregivers were friendly and interacting with them. Except they are more intense residents with Alzheimer and my mom is not at that level. Their focus is more on Alzheimer from the coordinator explained to me on the tour. It was a nice place and the price was reasonable but this was not what I needed.

I am happy with the care my dad get from the community. They were the only place that had high level of care for behavioral issues. He has all sorts of activities to participate in. Generally speaking the meals are above par from I have seen. It is a clean community with laundry services for my dad but it takes some time to get it back and it gets lost at times but gets returned later. The staff are good to me but there is room for improvements.

This is a wonderful community. Very clean and taken care of. The staff is very responsive. The meals are offered, but the staff needs to check on certain request for meals due to special diets requirements. Great activities, tours. I would recommend the community to others.

This is a very nice community for my mom. The staff is really nice and caring. The food is very good and nice variety. They do offer my mom activities. I would highly recommend this community for others for great care for a loved one.

This community has a great ocean view for the patients to enjoy and the staff was very knowledgeable and professional on our tour. It also seemed very suitable and a great place for clients with Alzheimer's. The facility is located on several floors of what was once the South Bay Hospital in Redondo Beach. Though the facility is modern and well-maintained, it has a bit of a institutional atmosphere that wasn't to our taste.

My father in law has been given great care, but they are at times under staffed at times. They do offer alot of activities to help him keep active. His room is clean and the community is very well taken care of. The food they offer is a great choice and nice variety. I would recommend this community to others.

We do not have any complaints regarding Silverado Beverly Place community. Community is clean, nice activities for the residence. Food is pretty decent. Overall a nice place.

I am very pleased with this community and everything they have done for us. They are caring for my mother very well. The community looks great, and very clean. The staff is good, I only had one problem with the staff not listening to my suggestion to have a monitor on my mother, due to the fact she is a fall risk. They did finally take my advice, and I feel she is safe now. I really feel like they know how to handle her. They offer a variety of activities, and she picks which ones she likes. The food is great, I've had a few meals with her and the food taste like restaurant food. Only thing I would say is to be forceful with the type of caring your loved one needs, so the staff understands.

I really like this facility and everyone here. This is a good community for Alzheimer's care. They are trying to do everything they can for my husband and his care. He can be combative at times and difficult to deal with. I do think they need more care givers here at this community. So the residents get the type of attention they need. This is a nice community with nice residents. I would recommend this community because they are patient with my husband. They are very caring at this community.

Great care, but stay on top of them for communication with ALL of the important family members.

We considered coming here. They worked well with us, and were friendly. It was a lovely place, but just very expensive.

Looks like it's working out great so far. We have a couple of caregivers that we really like. So far I would give them a four.

The food isn't good and the rooms are really small. But those are the only negatives. They are very caring

Toured this facility. Silverado is different from other facilities. They seem to have a deep understanding of dementia and really make an effort for patients to thrive with their disease. I really liked the administration, staff and the unconventional focus of the facility. Outdoor gardening, a chicken coop, birds in an aviary, swing set for staff's children and programs are enhancing. The actual rooms and accommodations are a bit weary and dated.

Everything went well with Silverado Calabasas. For my family member it seemed to be the best fit, because of the size of the facility (it is quite a big building on a big lot) and has some really good outdoor space.

They live up to their philosophy. I think they could follow through with maintenance requests.

The staff at Silverado Beverly Place are all very friendly and helpful. Some of the care that they were supposed to do at home did not get done, but other than that it was ok. My grandfather had a very nice time there.

Overall Silverado Escondido has really been great for my husband. There was one incident where a caregiver left his side for a brief moment and during that time he thought he could walk and decided to get up, then fell and broke his hip. After going back there from the hospital stay that followed they have given him extremely close attention and excellent care. Everything seems to be getting along and he is making progress.

The staff at Silverado really love what they do. I appreciate how much they want to care for and love on my Grandpa as he lives with Alzheimer's. I can go about my day and the things I need to do without worrying about him as much as I did before moving him to Silverado. He may not understand what's going on most of the time, but he's adjusted well and seems happy, which is very important to me.
