Since it's a privately owned community, a lot of times you'll talk right to the owner, which is nice. If you have a problem, you can call the front desk. And by the time I call my mom to check on her, they're in her room handling it already. They're very prompt with addressing requests.

Our family had an in person tour and it is a much bigger place and we really did like the outdoor patio the residents had access to where they could go and relax. The tour was enjoyable. They do have full bathrooms there but for our loved ones health level we were concerned she would have trouble navigating the shower and bathtub

The staff have really seemed to care about the residents and they try their best. They are short staffed just like everywhere else right now which is not their fault but sometimes it affects the care. They do outings on Thursdays and they seem to have quite a bit of activities going on and like to get people involved. On the memory care side they get duck eggs every year to hatch and they have ducklings. The facility is smaller and has less residents which makes it easier to navigate. The memory care has about 26 residents, mom has a shared room and it is an adequate size. The pricing here is all inclusive which is nice. I would recommend them to others looking.

Heather Heights is a great option for the money. the staff are very flexible with any request I have. my husband was not too thrilled with the food and portion sizes, but coming from home that's expected. I do think they do the best they can with their financial situation. all in all, I'm very happy with the care he's receiving. in regards to the atmosphere - they have a nice venue, a well kept landscape and the community has a cheerful feel to it.

The rule at this community is that I could only visit for 45 mins a day and it was 30 mins away. I knew that this would be to much for my loved one due to the fact that we were always around her.

Brompton Heights does a good job at working with you to make sure your loved one has the best care possible. They are compassionate, and skilled at different levels of care for the residents. The meals are decent for my loved one. Ice cream socials, outside entertainment, book readings, celebrations and more are some of the activities available for the residents to choose from.

Good tour, seemed to be better equipped to care for my loved one.

This community was cheaper and it was a virtual tour but for us it just was the distance and we wanted our loved one closer. They just were not a good fit for my loved one, I was looking for something that was majority memory care. Very good tour and the contact was very nice. This was just a tough decision and we went a different route.

Our loved one has only been there for a little, but so far the community has been straight forward with their fees, everyone has been exceedingly helpful. The staff communicate well, we get calls from the nurses with updated regarding our loved one and he is getting the rehab he needs there to.

Shelby Gardens Place is a really nice facility with lots of activities and beautifully decorated gathering areas for interaction with other residents. The staff is very passionate about the happiness of those they are entrusted with. The building is very clean and has no smell. The only thing I was dissatisfied with is the size of the actual living spaces that were quite small. Hopefully the residents are so busy enjoying the activities and fellowship areas that they aren't in their rooms much.

Shelby Gardens is nice, close, and the price is OK. I don't think my brother is going to agree right now, but I will keep this facility in mind.

Impressed with the staff and the fact that the owner spent time with us. Really like their care philosophy. Rooms were a little small and the bathrooms were small. Overall a nice place and would consider.

I enjoyed my tour and found the staffers to be pleasant and engaging. We ran into the director in the hall and she added well to the discussion. I liked that this property offered assisted living and memory care, but I'm concerned that it may not be affordable unless I choose memory care with a roommate.

While touring this facility for my Mother, it looked really decent. The interior décor wasn’t as nice but they are currently remodeling. Our tour with the marketing director was really nice and they offer a wide range of activities. She was very helpful and informative. They answered all of our questions and gave us clear answers. One drawback was it is a larger facility of 200 residents and it felt a bit crowded in the common areas. I would recommend this facility to other families.

The community has been a fine fit for my mom. It is cleaned well, she had good meals, and activities to try out. Everything has been fine when I talk to her.

Overall mom is doing well since moving here. She is still in an adjustment period but things are getting better. She is slowly making friends and doing activities. She is really liking the food. The staff is very good very happy and polite. The community is alway clean and well maintained. We are very happy with the care here.

It was a tough adjustment at first with my mothers move to this community. She is doing well now, and everything is running smoothly now. I do feel comfortable with her move to this community, it is good place. They have a lovely staff, and they are taking good care of her. They have been great with their commutation, and I do feel comfortable talking with them. For the most part they do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. They provide good meals, and offer nice activities for the residents. The experience is going well now, and I would recommend this community.
