While mom was out visiting family we engaged at home care services through Home Matters Caregiving of North Scottsdale. Because this was our first experience with at home caregiving we opted for a selection of caregivers across a variety selected by the agency. All four caregivers that came to my house were professional, considerate, and thorough. The allotted hours included two meals each day that were enjoyable and flavorful. All four caregivers were pleasant and attentive and hard workers, taking care of me and my home. [name removed] came to the house for four shifts, the most of any one caregiver. She was a self-starter that went the extra mile to be sure that my house was safe and clean. [name removed] saw to it that my hygiene was taken care of, my next meal was anticipated and I was comfortable before leaving for the day. Tricia was a sharp conversationalist She was a joy to have around, all while making me feel pampered and respected.

We had a wonderful lady named [name removed] who helped me with all the things.... She made me meals, even bringing me things that she's made at home! She gave me showers that made me feel squeeky clean and absolutely refreshed! [name removed] was super focused on my meds, even setting timers in her phone to make sure they were on time. We even got to do "field trips" into the community when I was still able to. If we hadn't moved back to my kids in Indiana, I would still have her! I wish she would have moved with us! I had other people from her company, who I felt were just as good as [name removed], but she was my favorite! I was absolutely amazed by the professionalism shown by this company, and would recommend them to everyone!

When my elderly mother required help after her release from the hospital, we contacted Preferred Care at Home and the very next day, a very knowledgeable woman, [name removed] came out to my mother’s home and helped me navigate our options for my mother’s care after her release from the hospital. The professional care and help I received was very much appreciated!

The owner was so kind and helpful and her experience with her own parents is what prompted her to do this. They were very accommodating to our schedule and budget concerns.

She was so helpful with my aging mother and finding the right caregivers for her. [name removed] always went above and beyond. She became a part of the family. The care received was very good (5). However, their punctuality was not. Many times they showed up 15 to 30 minutes late and in cases didn't show up at all (2). Probably would not recommend them until they fixed the problem mentioned above.

Without hesitation, I would rate all categories a 5. After my mother's spinal cord surgery, it was clear that the home-care she required was beyond what my siblings and I could provide. While my mother was in her second week in the rehabilitation center, I contacted A Place For Mom and received recommendations for 3 agencies that could address our needs. A kind woman named [name removed] met me at my mother's room in the rehab center and worked with me to ensure my mother would have 24 hour home-care within two hours of my mother being released. Although, a family member was always with my mother, all of us rested easier knowing she was well cared for day and night. My mother has since fully recovered. However, because both she and my father are in their 80's - we will need support in the future and I will not hesitate to reach out to A Place For Mom again.
