Brookdale

My mom has been at Brookdale for 1 1/2 years. They care team is very kind and compassionate.

After two years of worrying about Mom and her safety at home, we are really happy she is here. Life for her is much less stressful and she now has friends.

Yes it was a good fit for my wife and I to stay in the same apartment. I would recommend to others.

From the first tour, everyone has been so helpful and informative! I feel my mother is in safe hands and I can rest easy knowing she is being cared for.

The people here are outstanding and are about my mom.

Organized, encouraged to mingle with the residents, participate in their activities (playing card, bible fellowship, outdoor activities; puzzles or just hanging out.)

There was a time when I had to find a place for a relative before they could be released from the hospital. After having to make that decision for them, I knew I wanted to make that decision for myself before it was needed. I’ve made a point of visiting facilities and Brookdale Punta Gorda Isles is at the top of my list. There are many considerations that go into that decision but the main one is the impression management and staff left with me. It is obvious they truly care about the residents and their quality of life.

I have been a resident here since April 2022. My son first toured here while I was in rehab. His exciting comment was "mom, this is just the place for you. It fits you to a T" First its friendly. Both residents and staff. Second they have great caring staff. Third, So many activities. Fourth they take great care of us.

Our experience so far with the staff at Brookdale Tanque Verde has been wonderful. Everyone is very kind and compassionate. My husband is receiving excellent care these past 2 months.

In 2021, at the age of 88, my widowed mother-in-law moved into her beautifully, redecorated room at Brookdale Assisted Living in Punta Gorda Isles. Once there, she became involved with daily activities. She was able to bring her two-tiered electric organ and loves to play music for the residents. Moving in has brought her new life, new friendships, and now feels she has a purpose for living! As her family, we have peace of mind knowing all her needs are being met for by dedicated and professional staff members. She receives three healthy meals a day, all housekeeping needs are met, has weekly hairdresser appointments, and attends Sunday church service. Another thing we love is the size of the facility. Everything is on one level, no stairs to climb, and that makes it easier for her to move around from place to place! Our family gives Brookdale Assisted Living a high rating and would greatly recommend it for your loved ones.

The staff and residents are all very friendly and helpful. I live in a villa and it is just the right size for me and what I need. I highly recommend Brookdale Sunwest for retirement living.

I have been very satisfied with Brookdale. The staff made my mom's transition to assisted living very smooth. They were very helpful in making my mom feel at home. The staff is always pleasant and happy to help in any way.

When touring other place. I've came back 3 times. I said "this is it" Loved this place. Very impressed.

The pharmacy costs that weren't explained to us. The activities have been much less than what was explained to us. I have tried to help with activities but the people in that department are rarely in their office. You have a great staff and the facility is very nice.

The staff and executives are real easy to talk to and help out when needed to address my concerns. Based on the experience we have had, we would definitely recommend Brookdale Folsom to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

There has been a change in management since my mom signed up. The management and staff have been very patient and willing to work with my mom. The ladies who do the laundry and clean are super sweet and friendly.

The staff is really super friendly and seem to know the residents well . My mom really likes the facility and the staff and activities. I have been to numerous assisted living facilities and have never found one as nice as Brookedale.

We toured about 8 places first

Honestly, I would give a 5 in each category. [name removed] was very happy there. I just wished he had lived long enough to really enjoy it. And I appreciate A Place for Mom listening to our needs and connecting up with facilities that met them. I really liked the fact that Brookdale is big enough to provide friend circles and activities for all kinds of people. [name removed] loved being provided with three meals a day and he liked the activities. The list we got from you was predicated on proximity to the Davidson space center where [name removed] was a docent emeritus. His identity was based on that. Unfortunately, he never recovered from his first stroke sufficiently to go back to docent-ing, but the location was convenient for friends and family to visit. I also liked the Brookdale at Home availability. Had [name removed] been able to lead groups at the space center again, BaH would have provided transportation for a small charge. That would have been important.
